I would be surprised if these are really made of the listed materials, they were not the same color as the photos, but the main problem is that.the gems are attached by open looped metal and on arrival one was twisted off the lever back , I had to use jewelry pliers to reattach. The pictures of the earrings on the website look so pretty and the color (I chose the London blue Topaz in yellow gold) was so deep shown off with the checkerboard cut. These earrings are a beautiful amethyst color. The reason they got a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of the wires. I think the problem buyers are having with them not meeting is the box they come in. The earrings looked fine and then I took one off the difficult piece they were attached to in the box. That bent the wire. On the second one, I maneuvered it, so the wire wouldn't bend the wrong way. The wires have to be sturdier or the box has to be changed for people to be completely happy. The color of the stones is a gorgeous deep blue and the size is nice. The leverbacks themselves are just a tad flimsy but they are holding up to the wear I've done so hopefully no problem.
