Ok, while I was installing my deck boards a few weeks back... these seemed to be a "no brainer" as a cost effective alternative to the Trex fasteners. Installed easily, consistent and held my boards in place. However, after 1 light rain I noticed that all the tops of the screw heads are starting to show rust. Rain in Seattle is reality & I am caught w/ the other reality of having to rip out and replace everything in a couple years after all the screws rust through (25' x32' deck). The screws are black enamel coated. 1 little knick exposing the metal + water == rust. I'd give this a 2 star, but I should have thought this through. The porch I installed 2 years ago using the name brand fastener with stainless screws still good.

They are what they say they are, they work as intended, but I didn't pay attention to the description, they have steel screws, so they will probably only last a few years and then I will somehow have to figure out how to replace the screw, just but the brand with stainless screw, that's rust proof, your putting down boards that are designed to last 20+ year, and the screws holding them down are 5 years🤔, not good, wish I'd spent the extra 100, so an update, I contracted Amazon, and they refused to refund even after I told them that this is false advertising, they do not care, I have purchase other from temu, and they are stainless steel and better quality

I’m not sure if this should be a one or a two. The fasteners seem to be ok but the screws provided are rusting after about 3 weeks. So I can see all these little Orange rust spots on top of each screw along each space. I don’t think the company will do anything for this
