This brand of apricots are my favorite ever! They are super fresh and flavorful like no others I have tried. You can tell they are really fresh because even though they are dried, they are very soft and bright orange like a fresh apricot. These are from Turkey where they grow a lot of apricots and some of the best in the world. To me the price is very reasonable to get such a high quality dried fruit. I would rather spend a little more and get a superb product. It comes in a resealable package and is nicely sized to throw in my day pack. There’s nothing like fruit to help with energy and it’s so much better than eating a super/carb-filled energy bar. Love this brand so much! I am definitely going to order more!!!

Positives : - Well packed in a reusable zipper plastic bag ! - Flavorful and tasty 😋! - Nice soft texture ! - Naturally Sweet Without added sugar : no sticky fingers and healthy ! - Suitable to add in baking items ! - Gift-able ! These are really good dried apricots. They're much softer and more moist than others I've tried... they aren't hard or tough to chew at all. They don't have any added sugar and come from Turkey, fwiw. I don't normally get very excited about dried fruit, but these are crave-worthy. I really like the Soft and Juicy Mango from Trader Joe's because they're so....soft and juicy😄...and these remind me of those as far as taste and texture (if you like those, and you like apricots, you'll love these). They're really delicious, and we will definitely be ordering them again. They'd also be good for baking because the texture is so lovely.

These Pure Antaolia sun-dried Turkish apricots are made without sugar, although they are sulfured to retain their bright orange flavor and help prevent spoilage so those few consumers sensitive or allergic to sulfur dioxide should keep that in mind. These apricots look and feel great out of the package, a decent size that's fresh and plump with a slight translucence; even days after opening they hold their charms well regardless of refrigeration (refrigeration is recommended on the package). They aren't sticky or tough, they don't smell smoky or sooty, all of which indicate a dried apricot's quality. Their flavor is nice, a little muted up front but once they come on they have a bright follow-through that encourages snacking. The package feels strong and secure, it comes fully sealed in thick, metalized, opaque plastic that helps prevent spoilage by keeping light and air out. The top has a tear-off notch on both sides which was easy to pull away, and a decent zip-top closure just beneath that which is strong and air-tight on the sample I received, even pushing on the bag doesn't blow out that seal. The only real drawback for me with these dried apricots was the value at which they're listed at the time of this review (April 2022), $6.90 for 5 ounces and these aren't organic, so they aren't the best value around. That said, I do think these are quality dried apricots, so I'm not knocking the score too hard.

If you like dried fruit these sun-dried apricots (which I'm certain weren't actually sun-dried) have a nice individual size and flavor and they're a healthier alternative to eating chips or candy but this small 5oz bag contains a whopping 3.5 servings according to the Nutrition Label which is why the product loses a star. Pure Anatolia should be realistic about how many their customers are likely to eat as a snack and this bag probably contains 2 servings for most people unless you're using these as a candy substitute and only plan on eating a couple before closing the bag back up. In terms of being a healthy snack, these are primarily healthy because they don't contain the fat and salt found in chip-type snacks--in terms of how much nutrition these dried apricots actually provide the answer is less than you might think. If you consume the entire 5oz bag (which remember is supposedly 3.5 servings) you are consuming nearly 400 calories which is actually a lot more than I expected. For those calories you're getting 3.5% of the daily recommended amount of calcium, 28% of iron, 35% of potassium, and 42% of fiber--that's the nutritional value of the entire contents of the package so don't purchase these expecting a superfood naturally bursting with vitamins and nutrients because these dried apricots simply don't provide that. Are they a healthy snack? In comparison to chips or candy definitely. Will they satisfy your craving for sweets or salty snacks? Nope. Do they taste anywhere near as good as actual, juicy apricots? Not even close--although they are obviously a whole lot more portable and less messy. They also stay good for months which is the original reason people started drying fresh fruit in the first place. At nearly $7 for a 5oz bag, these aren't cheap but dried fruit is always more expensive than chips. If you shop around you can probably find a better deal but the price isn't unreasonable. They taste fine but, personally, I prefer packages that come with more than one type of dried fruit because a little variety goes a long way with this stuff. If you are a fan of dried apricots then you know exactly what to expect.
