These are very shiny, plastic, gold coins. They seem very well made (no sharp plastic edges where the plastic oozes out of the mold). I wanted them to keep in my car for impromptu treasure hunts with preschool kids. These work perfectly. These are fairly lightweight, so if you're trying to replicate real coins, these aren't close to a real coin feel. But they are perfect for little ones who love shiny things and become very attached to coins -- these are too big to be swallowed.

I bought these for a pirate-themed Halloween display and they look great for that purpose. They are typical gold-chromed plastic and have almost no weight ot thickness to them, so they won't work very well for more serious cosplay application, but as a secondary prop element to help sell the scene for a pirate display, they are perfect. They would also work well for theater applications or for kids who want to pay piates.

Purchased for pirate party. Will either sprinkle a few as decorations on the table, or include in piñata. The price was cheap for Amazon-standards, but when evaluating items like this, I ask myself: for $7 (or however much it costs when you read this review), is it better to have 100 plastic coins, or would 700 shiny pennies make a more dramatic impact? For my use case, the plastic wins. But the necessity of this product is questionable :)

I wanted to find something that would go along with a pirate theme for a birthday party. So these fit the bill. These are your standard toy coins. They are better than another set I got where quite a few were broken in pieces. I didn't see any broken in this set.

I am very happy with this bulk pack of pirate coins. I selected them to be used in my prize box at school. My students love being able to earn a trip to the prize box and pirate coins are always a big hit. This bulk pack is offered at such a reasonable price point. The media could not be loaded. These were exactly as I thought they would be - plastic gold coins. I think my kids will enjoy putting them in their banks and jewelry boxes. They have been working great as incentives for establishing habits (potty training, brushing teeth on own, getting dressed in the morning without having to be asked, etc.) because I can give my kids one coin at a time, and there are plenty to go around!
