  • Good quality. Would buy again
The paint they use will transfer to what ever you are pouring into it. I melted down some copper to make bars the first one had paint all over it second one was okay after the paint burned off.

  • Does what it is supposed too
Works well for casting copper ingots. Be aware the paint will burn off with a high temperature pour, but this is to be expected. Just make sure you always wear proper PPE when working with molten metals.

  • Fit for purpose
It’s a good ingot mold for molten metal. The interior surface could be smoother, as is, it requires grinding and polishing to get a smooth finish.

  • Poor surface quality.
I bought one of these several months ago and was quite pleased with the interior surface. I ordered a second one that was delivered this month. Totally different. Interior surface quality is awful. Pits and voids. Nothing like the first one.

  • sturdy metal contaminated by paint, rough corners
I used this mold for melted copper, I had a nice batch of clean copper ready to pour. Despite pre heating the mold for many minutes it still had a thick paint/ finish that contaminated my copper pretty strongly. After it cooled off I checked the mold, it has a lot of bumps in the corners that will produce some pretty misshapen ingots. ... show more
