I ordered this duvet in green buffalo plaid and it arrived promptly. Right away I discovered that the wrong color had been sent- it was the blue/beige plaid instead. While this was very disappointing since it meant the hassle of returning said item, the duvet itself appears very nice and exactly what I was looking for, material and quality-wise. If you are looking to order the blue and beige plaid duvet set, take note that the colors aren’t very rich- the blue is more of a faded denim shade, which is fine if you’re looking for an earthy, “natural color.” I’ve already started the return process and should be receiving a replacement in the Buffalo GREEN plaid as soon as the incorrect duvet set is returned. As far as the duvet itself, it is the perfect texture if you’re looking for a slightly wrinkled type affect. I personally love it like that. If you are looking for “sateen smooth”, this isn’t it, although I’m sure you could probably press it, if you didn’t mind the hassle. The quality and workmanship appeared good, from what I could see- I didn’t remove it from the package since I knew it was the wrong color right away. The packaging is nice, and very giftable. The only reason for my four stars is the fact I didn’t receive the right duvet, and I haven’t been able to see it up close and personal yet, but based off the one I have seen, I’m assuming I will very much like the “right” one. :) If everything turns out “right in the end”, take my review as being a 5 star rating. ... show more

I love this duvet set! A couple things I love are the zippered enclosure - it looks so neat and clean unlike buttons that seem to tug and pull making the comforter look frumpy. I also love that the pillow cases are "envelope closure" so that the pillow stays inside and the fabric covers the other side so you don't see the pillow. The only complaint I would say is that it does wrinkle. The comforter isn't too bad, but the pillow cases wanted to ball up in the dryer. I pulled them out a little early and laid them flat to try, pressing out the majority of the wrinkles. You could iron too, but for a teen boy's room it's not that important.
