First of all, these are nice sheets, but the color did not match our recently purchased duvet set, so I attempted to return. The sheets were $80, but they only allow you to ship back via UPS for $50 out of your pocket, resulting in a $30 refund for your $80 purchase. Absolutely ridiculous! Needed a set of sheets for our guest room. Sheet set arrived really quickly. I noticed a smell taking them out of the package, but it wasn’t anything like what some of the other reviews noted. Tossed them immediately in the washer and dryer. Sheets did not come out wrinkle free, but did not require me to get the iron out and the smell was gone. The wrinkles went away within a day of making the bed. The fabric seemed a bit thin for 800 thread count, but felt soft. I ordered the white set and can see the pattern on the pillow through the pillow cover. The non fitted sheet could be wider, I couldn’t tuck the sides in and my mattress is not extra deep. My original review was 5 stars. I love how the material feels. It’s made from Egyptian cotton which was important to me. The sheets stayed in place and didn’t stretch and get loose after a few days like my other sets. Why I’m deducted a few stars is the sheets are shrinking a little more with each wash. I use warm water and put them in the dryer on the sheets setting. It’s a struggle to get the fitted sheet onto my bed. I have an older mattress which isn’t deep like newer mattress’s are. The top sheet isn’t wide enough either. Plenty long but it doesn’t cover the sides of the mattress. ... show more
