Update: The shares have lasted quite well, and I am buying a second set. I do not find the sheets to be scratchy in the least, although they do not have the silky feel of high thread count sets. I actually like the feel. The funky elastic border on the bottom sheet has been durable, and it does the job. The fit of the bottom sheet is still tight, but didn't get tighter. Some with physical limitations may have trouble getting them on. I should have read the reviews that mentioned the actual color of the "solid ivory" sheets. They're YELLOW. A better description would be "morning sunshine", "soft butter", "muted yellow" or ???? How can a seller be so casual about misleading their customers??? The actual color looks nothing like that shown on the product page (light sage). I'm going to keep them, and I'll review feel, fit and durability in the future. Revised: I've now washed the sheets twice. They fit my mattress (11 1/2 inches) GREAT, very tight/taught. Some have complained that the sheets feel rough. To me, it's a trade off. These sheets aren't silky smooth, but I find that high thread counts mean a hotter bed in summer. And the slight bit of course feel doesn't disturb me at all. I still don't have a feel for how they'll last, but, thus far, I like the sheets and consider them to be a bargain.

Feelings about sheets are very subjective, so this is just my opinion…but these sheets ROCK! They are thick and heavy (no thin, flimsy microfiber sheets for me!!!) and they are always cool when you slip into them (thank you cotton!!). Oh and the wide elastic for gripping the bed is friggin’ AWESOME! Because they’re pure cotton they do retain heat a bit - but I have a chilipad so I rarely notice - and of course they wrinkle but duh, they’re cotton and so what, I’m sleeping in them not wearing them. Also, they have the thick rough-like softness feel of new cotton when you first used them. They’re already starting to soften and will continue to do so over time but I love that feeling - only mentioning bc if you want an immediate silky soft feel you might want to look elsewhere. Anyway, they check every box for me - highly recommend!

I read other reviews of these sheets before buying and so was very anxious to see for myself what they were like. I always buy 100% cotton sheets so am well aware that cotton sheets wrinkle AND SHRINK....not sure why they are advertised to be wrinkle free... I take mine out of the dryer after 10-15 minutes and then let them air dry on the bed to minimize the wrinkling and SHRINKAGE. These sheets are beautiful: fairly heavy cotton and nicely detailed. The elastic band on the fitted sheet is wide (1/2" just as shown in the photo) and is continuous around the entire sheet. The depth of the fitted sheet is generous and easily covers my 12+" mattress and 3" mattress topper. These sheets are easily as nice as the cotton sheets I've purchased at Costco for $70. One last thing: they did have a strange odor upon opening, but the wash resolved that problem immediately. I highly recommend and plan to buy a 2nd set.

A review and star rating for a sheet set from me will be different from a review of, say, an HD flat screen television. This is a basic household item we all use everyday, with just a handful of aspects to consider. I am on a work assignment abroad. I bought this sheet set after buying another set locally, paying a fairly high price and getting a clearly inferior product as compared to what I am accustomed to in the United States. So, how did I choose these? 1) Thread count, 2) Material - I wanted 100% cotton as opposed to microfibre or a cotton/polyester mix, and 3) Price. (I don't have a strong preference between things like Percale vs Sateen, etc.) These sheets are 100% Cotton. Check! They have a 400 level thread count (this is midrange, not low end and not luxury level). Check! The price point is at or below what one can expect from a big box store for this level of sheet set. Check! So what were my impressions when received? First, upon receiving them, I washed them. They washed well, came out as expected, not too wrinkled at all, and when placed on bed, you don't see any wrinkles. Nice! Another nice design or manufacturing feature is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch or so elastic band all the way around the fitted sheet with a grippy rubberized pattern (facing the mattress) that I helps the fitted sheet stay nicely snug in place. I have never had a bottom sheet with this feature before, even on more expensive sheets, and I consider this a very premium, plus! Happy! The look of the sheet is nice - it has a nice sheen, but is not 'shiny' like some other sateen cotton sheets I have purchased in the past. Pleased! The feel of the sheet is smooth for sure (but not like an 800TC or 1000TC sheet.) Reasonable and comfortable! As an aside, while not really a practical or usage point, visually the sheet seems a bit thinner to my eye. And this may just be because I purchased it in white, while most of my sheets for a very long time now have been either colors or patterns. So, in the end, what do I think? And should YOU give these a try? I gave these a 3 star rating, only because I did not want people to expect to be getting an 800TC or 1000TC level sheet set. If these were being compared to other midrange sheets only, I would give them 4 stars (I rarely give 5 stars). These sheets will be just fine for most people with appropriate expectations. They strike me as reasonable, competitively priced and good quality for this price point and thread count, and will be comfortable for everyday use for adults and children :) I am an adult on the outside and rather childlike on the inside ;) and I find them comfortable even as they are not really 'Luxury' sheets. Based on the above, I would recommend these for sheet set buyers who want a decent product at a lower cost, rather than significantly more expensive luxury, higher TC sheet sets. Enjoy & Good luck!
