I have been using the brand California Olive Ranch for many years now. It was included on a list of olive oils that had been tested to be pure and true CA olive oil. It has a great flavor. I have always preferred extra virgin olive oil that comes from one source. Be careful because California Ranch also makes a global blend which encompasses four different countries. I prefer the one that is 100% California because that ensures there is less chance for contamination. The taste is very mild. I use this in salads and in place of most cooking oils. I ordered four bottles. Two arrived broken. (Poor mail lady!) I took pictures thinking I would need to verify damage. I came in and texted the seller. Within a couple of hours (same day!!!) they responded with a very nice note telling me how sorry they were about the breakage, and two new bottles would be sent out. I received the two bottles today. It has a mild flavor so it doesn't overwhelm certain recipies. Strangely I can cook with this olive oil on higher heat than every other goods ones I have used. But the best thing of all is it has turned out to be the very best body skin moisturizer I have ever used on my very dry skin and I don't smell like olive oil with this one. It penetrates so deeply when I sweat outside in Florida my skin doesn't turn into an oil slick as all cosmetic brands. I even tried a coconut fractionated carrier oil that never penetrated my top layer of skin. Years ago I recalled reading women in Italy use EVOO as a skin moisturizer but until now I never found one that smelled so neutral and made my skin feel so supple. ... show more
