These curtains are so very soft and thick. They block out the light entirely and keep much of the cool air trapped. I thought these were like another set of curtains I had which were also thermal but with a weave pattern with glitter. Initially I was a bit bummed until I compared them side by side. I used a flash light on my phone and shone it through the curtains right up to it. These curtains kept more light out than the ones I already had. I took one star off of the rating because all 6 sets of curtains I ordered came with black smudges on them. I added one photo of one of the smudges for reference. I did wash them after opening them but it didn't come out and I don't make returns. ... show more

These work so much better than I was expecting. They truly blackout the room and I’m able to get better sleep. The material is heavy and satin soft. The grommets make it very easy to slide open and closed which is useful for us since they’re on a double rod on the inside. We’re able to easily slide these open without opening the decorative layer of curtains. Even though they’re black on the inside, I think they’ve helped with the room not getting so hot over the summer. Usually the room is sweltering and I see some people think then bring black makes the room warm. But in my room this is better than sun coming through the glass. Only other suggestion is make sure your rods are sturdy and in the wall properly because these have some weight to them. ... show more

I got the white ones and was worried they would still let light in but nope, they are amazing! It is completely black in my bedroom even during the day if they’re closed. They aren’t very heavy either so they’re easy to open and close. I absolutely love them and would buy them for any bedroom.

These are super heavy with the extra lining, which adds the insulation factor and light blocking, and hang beautifully. Upon opening, put them in the dryer for 30-40 minutes and it will knock all the wrinkles out. I've tried many different brands of thermal curtains and these are by far the best due to thickness and weight. I'd also been looking for the perfect shade of burgundy and this is it. Others had way too much red and brightness to them, but these are a true burgundy. ... show more

    • Use your dryer to remove wrinkles if you have that cycle!

The curtains are very nice, the fabric looks like silk. For the customers complaining about wrinkles, yes they came with a lot of them but if you have a dryer with dewrinkle cycle, add half cup of water to the reservoir and put each panel separately in the dryer and they will come out perfectly, wrinkle free no need to iron them. I didn’t give a 5 because even it is a complete blackout for the room but some light get in through the top of the curtain even I they were installed higher than the windows seals but I will still reorder them again! Since my last review I bought a second pair and add it to the previous one and the light on top was resolved, you can still see some reflection one in the ceiling but very minimal and it’s really a true black out drapes. I also added a wet facecloth in the dryer to remove the wrinkles for each panel and it came out perfect, no wrinkles at all. They deserved a 5 for the price! Love it. ... show more
