So many claim to be 100% wool fill, but in actuality they mix it with polyester, microfiber, etc. Or the cover will be some synthetic blend. This description sounded too good to be true, but it is genuine, 100% wool filling with a 100% cotton cover. We have a California King; this is so generously sized that we have plenty of overhang on each side of the bed. Temperature control is unbelievable. I wanted a wool comforter because I am always cold and spouse is always hot and I heard these were good in multiple seasons and for partners who have different heat preferences. Although I still prefer down, this is a nice compromise for both of us for the summer season. I cant comment for winter or fall yet but I always have layers on so it should be fine. The quality and sticking feel and look like a high end cover without the price e tag. I also have noticed my dust mite allergies have not bothered me as much with this wool blanket than with my down - not sure if it's just coincidence but it has been nice to not wake up stuffy. I ha e not washed yet but did put in dryer on high heat setting before using and it did fine in there. So far I recommend, if the quality does not hold up, I will update. ... show more

I am reviewing the 100% Australian wool comforter. I can’t say enough positive things about this comforter. It is top quality hotel like comfort. Totally light weight. Takes place of a plush blanket. It is light in weight and easy to move around and pull up. The cotton fabric is super soft and dense. Size is perfect for a king bed. I first used it on the bed without a duvet cover. It feels so good that way. I hated to cover it because I like the light weight of it. I am using it like a light blanket in a room that is about 72 degrees. It isn’t hot to sleep with it on at this temperature. My husband and I don’t sweat under it but it does give warmth. We have a goose down comforter that is medium weight and we love this. But after about 30 minutes we find we are sweating and have to take it off. This wool comforter regulates the temperature wonderfully. I do know merino wool is the finer wool and is lighter and fluffier than regular wool. I did eventually put a 100% duvet cover on it. It made me sad I had to do it. But I don’t want to be washing this all of the time. I am know looking for a light weight gauze duvet that won’t add weight to it. I am so much in love with this wool comforter. I am going to get one for our RV. There is not one thing I can say negative about this. I will probably use it for spring, summer and fall. Then go to my goose down comforter in the winter when our room reaches 59 degrees. I am unable to test it for winter but if it works for us then I will keep it on. I love that you don’t get sweaty under it. It states you can wash it. I have not done so yet. It has no odor and feels clean and soft. Don’t hesitate to get this if you can’t decide. I am very happy with this wool comforter. It is surprisingly light weight but due to the wool inner layer is just right for the cool early summer evenings we have been getting lately. I don't like to have heavy blankets to keep warm. I like to use an electric mattress warmer so this comforter will continue to be warm into the fall and winter. I was worried that there might be an itchy factor to the comforter because I am often sensitive to wool. The wool is covered by a nice thick cotton cover so the wool does not bother me at all. The cover is well stitched and baffled to keep the inner portion in place. The comforter comes vacuum packed. I fluffed it up by air before using it, but it can be placed in the dryer. And speaking of drying, the comforter is machine washable and dryable. The best part of all is that it fits in the home washer. I have been using an old fiber fill comforter and have to take it to the laundromat to wash. The wool comforter came with corner loops so that it can be tied to the corners of the duvet cover. Because the comforter is thinner than my usual comforter it was somewhat easier to get into the duvet. The tie loops were the game changer. ... show more

Absolutely love this blanket I have always gotten goose feather so when I seen this Australian wool comforter, I had to test it out it’s made with real merino wool when you know you know. It is going into summer. I have my air conditioning on. I’ve been using this blanket. I have not gotten sweaty underneath it. I did put a duvet cover over it. It is very high-end my new favorite blanket with natural wool inside of it when I say, Luxury, I mean Luxury I am going to get one more in a smaller size as I chose the king for my son who is in Alaska, because we absolutely love this kind of wool and swear by it it is really gentle for the skin when you buy goose feather you really don’t know where it’s coming from in the way that they get the feathers not good. This is on the thinner side. I did put mine in the dryer to fluff it up, but this blanket will keep you warm and cool. I think it’s a great value for the price I paid just because it is Merino wool do your research it’s great for anyone that has skin sensitivities as like myself. I love this blanket. i am so impressed with the quality of this comforter/duvet. I thought - since it was made to put in a coverlet, it would have a pretty thin covering. Not so! To me it seems pretty substantial. The cover is white and pretty wrinkled, so i think a cover is in order- unless you prefer the look in the photos. The other thing that really amazed me is its weight. It weighs in at 8.4 pounds. So at least for me this is a winter only blanket. I"m pretty sure I will not be bringing out the electric blanket! I pulled off the pillows and everything off my bed so you could get a better idea of how it fits a king size. ... show more
