Description

This propane furnace is designed for jewelers, metalsmiths, and refiners. Designed to melt up to 10 Kg of material (measured in brass). Other materials will vary due to volume. This high-temperature, fast melting propane forge is designed to melt metals up to 2300°F. This forge can handle metals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, tin, etc. Melts in as little as 15 to 20 minutes! Our unit is ready to use in the U.S.A. Works with a standard propane tank. No need for replacing the regulator; just hook up and fire! We combined this furnace with a powerful DFP burner. The interior is fully lined with 1" of ceramic wool, and the cover is lined with 2" to 3" of ceramic wool. The furnace floor is made of 2" to 3" inch of ceramic wool and firebrick, therefore providing both superior strength and durability. Graphite Foundry Crucibles are sold separately. Connection kit included: Gas pressure regulator, 1 - 90 PSI 0 - 6 bar) gauge with manometer, an 8" gas hose, and 2 clamps.Please contact us with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Did exactly what I expected, I am now happy melting bronze, I was confused with the instructions on where exactly to install the burner but contacted their customer services and they helped me through that (the end of the burner should be flush with the inside diameter of the kale wool). It took me a minute to realise I needed to open the washer at the back of the burner to increase the heat but once I figured that out I was away. . I was also relieved to find that the connections worked on our gas fittings in New Zealand. The freight and the customs costs ended up costing a lot more that the product but I am happy to recommend ... show more

I received the cast master propane furnace and it took me about 10 minutes to assemble. It was very easy and it worked like a champ except one issue. I stopped the burner to remove the crucible and pour into my mold. After the pour I replaced the crucible and then tried to close the lid. The lid then broke at the weld, I had just used the furnace and I am sure it was hot at the weld but not visibly so. After contacting the customer support I stated the issue to them and they agreed to send me a new furnace lid free of charge. I had to take pictures of the break and send them to the company for the engineer to look at, it was painless. I am very happy with the customer support and the quick attention that was given to remedy the problem. I am also pleased with the companies ability to stand behind there product and correct any issues that arise.
