It's on the firm side, but sufficiently soft to be able to bend it as needed. The length gives you a good handle to grip it for use. The suction is my favorite feature. It attaches well to a shower wall and does not release with use however the extra wide suction base can be released easily when you lift unlike others hard to release. When attached to a wall the rim pops up on the outside as it makes a firm suction which give you a place to release. Very nice touch. There is also a gap between the suction and the dildo for use in a holder so it could double as a strap on. The suction cup is designed to not be in the way and can flatten easily.
