Overall, this tool worked out and I got the accurate line cuts I needed - so it does what it intends to do. The most frustrating thing for me was that even with all the bolts loosened and the lock off, the plastic sliders were still very hard to move. there was no 'glide' so to speak. Ultimately I had to push pretty hard to get them to move how I wanted. But it was accurate.
