Description

This is how the pros repair foundation crack leaks! By doing a concrete crack injection with polyurethane foam. With our most popular kit you will stop water from leaking through 10’ of foundation cracks. The clear, concise and easy to follow instructions and how-to video make this an easy to use basement crack repair kit. The MDI based polyurethane is used on cracks in defective concrete wall cracks. These include foundation walls, retaining walls, sewer manholes, and tunnels. This is a forgiving repair process, especially for DIY and first timers. That is because on contact with water the 100% solids resin foams and expands inside the crack-up to 30x its volume. This is easier to use than epoxy because epoxy can run out of the crack prior to it curing and sealing. It includes two cartridges of expanding Hydra-Stop 300 polyurethane foam that will not shrink after curing. After it foams and expands, the water will not leak through. Two cartridges of Poxy Paste are used to adhere the surface ports and cover the crack prior to injection. That is more materials than other kits. These are the same materials and procedures that our professional customers use to repair basement wall cracks for their clients. This kit also works on the inside corners of a basement. All of the materials and supplies needed are included in this kit. Advantages: Expands up to 30x- Mixers that snap tightly into injection surface ports- Low viscosity Hydra Stop 300 polyurethane gets into hairline cracks- Fast setting surface sealer for reduced repair time- Non-shrinking polyurethane foam expands to stop water- More materials than other kits- Features: 2 Cartridges Hydra Stop 300 polyurethane foam- 2 cartridges Poxy Paste surface port and crack seal adhesive- Caulk gun- Injection ports- Inside corner injection ports- How to video and written instructions

  • Very well made kit!
I was skeptical but we decided to use it to patch a hairline crack in our foundation. We just happened to find the crack behind our finished wall. This worked much better than I expected. The crack never leaked water but I'm pretty sure we prevented any major problem we would have had. The video was very helpful. And the system worked flawlessly! The kit came with everything you need which is very much appreciated especially since we had half the basement tented to keep dust and debris from flying all over the place. I'm very impressed. I hope I never need to purchase again but if I do I will be back and I would recommend to any other homeowner. ... show more

  • Excellent product
I’m not a professional anything, but I had a leak in my basement and the professionals who did evaluate it basically tried to continuously sell me smoke and mirrors. I was interested in this stuff because in my previous dwelling there was a crack filled with something similar that the home inspector seemed to feel was totally legit, so I thought I’d try it for my new problem - a 7ish’ vertical hairline crack in my foundation that leaked a little with every rain and a lot with very heavy downpours. I was sure I would get started and run into a roadblock despite reading through the entire instructions in all languages presented, but really it was pretty straight forward and worked well. Best of all there is no more flooding in the basement, and I live on the East Coast which has basically seen heavy rains daily for much of the summer this year. As in ZERO water coming from this crack!!! The only unexpected issue with using this stuff was that I apparently didn’t completely seal the wall with the putty, and so when I started injecting the sealant, instead of it coming out the ports, it started coming out all over the place. So I would just caution to be liberal with the first step to minimize wasting the sealant when you start injecting it. I would definitely highly recommend this stuff if appropriate for your problem - much better to spend $150 and a couple of hours than $5k on a local “expert”, especially if the latter doesn’t even fix the problem! Update Dec 2023 (almost 3 years and many heavy rains later) - still going strong! ... show more

  • Would buy again - hope I never have to.
This kit worked, but it would be better if they just sold the ports, epoxy, and urethane. The caulk gun that comes with this kit is completely useless for this purpose. You will not get ANY epoxy out of the tube with it before it bends and breaks. It's a $3 caulk gun, so compared to the price of the kit it's not a big deal. Use your own. Pneumatic would be good here. The wire brush is what you would expect, but it was a waste for me because I already have one. The tongue depressor mixers are actually quite good for spreading the epoxy over the outside of the crack and attaching the ports. I was prepared with a disposable putty knife, but didn't end up using it, because the sticks were the right tool for the job. The goggles are el-cheapo, and any respectable craftsman will have a better, more comfortable pair already. This kit is sold as a 10' kit, and you are supposed to place a port every 6" (4" from the bottom). Mine came with 15 non-corner ports, and one was broken. Luckily I only had a 7' crack to seal. All that said, this still gets four stars, because it worked extremely well. The epoxy was easy to mix, and securely attached the ports to the wall with no drilling. Covering the crack with it prevented any foam from leaking out the face of the crack on the inside (except at the top, because I didn't think to seal the crack on the top of the foundation). It has exactly the right consistency to easily feather out and blend with the wall (anybody looking at it is going to be able to tell you sealed a crack though... No way around it.) Injecting the foam was slow, but simple, and mess-free. It took ~5 minutes per port before the foam would start coming out the next port up. (My crack was ~1/8" at the top tapering down to 1/16"). I know it worked because water stopped pouring in like a faucet in the rain, and because I can see where the foam expanded out of the crack on the outside of the 10" thick foundation. The local guys all wanted ~$500 to do this job, and it's so easy I'm glad I did it myself. ... show more

  • Good Solution for Sealing Foundation Cracks
This stuff worked pretty well. I used it in a couple of places, one of which always leaked when there was a big rain. We've had one big rain since and that spot did not leak this time. So far so good. A few things to know, however. 1) I spaced my ports about 4 inches apart and nothing ever squirted out of them as I was filling the one next to it. When you squirt in water, the instructions say to watch water come out the port directly below. Never did. Also when you inject the polyurethane foam, the instructions say to watch it come out of the port directly above. Never did. 2) When you open the box, the tubes of epoxy and polyurethane foam appear completely full, but in reality they are only 50% full. If you look closely you can see they are designed that way. The plunger inside takes up about half of the tube. I didn't figure this out until I started injecting the polyurethane foam in the first port. I wasted a large amount of that first poly foam tube and ended up burning through both tubes. I still have plenty of epoxy left over. 3) The caulk gun they provide seems sturdy at first but the spring on the trigger failed pretty quickly, which made that caulk gun useless. I switched to my own caulk gun, which worked fine. My guess is if you order this kit you probably already own things like a caulk gun and goggles so those could probably be left out of this kit and the price could be a little lower. Other than that this is a good solution to a common problem and I am happy to spend a fraction of what it would cost to have a professional come in and take care of these foundation cracks. ... show more
