This ring light works well for desk setups. It’s bright enough for videos or Zoom calls, and the adjustable angles make it easy to get the light where you want it. The phone holder stays in place and feels sturdy, even when extended overhead. The build is decent—not super heavy-duty, but it holds up fine for regular use. This works wonderfully for taking good archival shots for my sketches. For those of us who like to use physical media, this is the perfect way to capture and store your art digitally. No glare on most of the art, but there is a little on glossy paper, so be prepared to adjust. This mounts easily on my art desk but should work on any standard table as well.

As I opened this product, I was immediately struck by its thickness and high-quality construction. The manufacturing attention to detail is truly remarkable, with each piece meticulously crafted. A comprehensive instructions manual was provided, making assembly relatively straightforward. However, the short threads required precise alignment of the pieces. Once assembled, the product exudes a sense of well-made craftsmanship. The product operates exceptionally well. While the ring light remained cool during use, the plug did get slightly warm to the touch. The three lighting options are convenient, and the light output is sufficient. The adjustment panel attached to the cord functions smoothly and easily. Unfortunately, the cord length is a bit short, similar to many other products in this category. It’s best suited for use on a desk or table near the desired work area. The mechanism to attach to a table was nicely heavy and worked well. The arm lengths adjust conveniently, allowing for optimal height adjustment. The adjustment mechanism for the adjustable arm is appropriately challenging to pull out, ensuring stability, but pushing it in was surprisingly difficult and may pose a challenge for some users. Notably, all adjustable areas are quite tight, which is necessary for stability but can make use a bit cumbersome. The top pivot point between the light fixture and the main arm of the stand is particularly difficult to adjust due to the lack of a suitable holding point. We thoroughly enjoyed the remote control that came with the product. It paired effortlessly via Bluetooth and performed exceptionally well. It already had a built-in battery, but it also featured an on and off switch. The remote control even included a carry string, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail in the product’s design. However, we encountered a few user error issues with the remote when the phone buttons were slightly pressed by the holder. These issues varied depending on how the phone was positioned within the holder. At one point, my son almost dialed the emergency number by accident because the buttons were being slightly depressed. This occurred with both an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 16 Pro. The cell phone holder is adjusted using a pressure-activated double spring-like mechanism that securely holds the phone. Unfortunately, this mechanism is quite challenging to use, and I ended up getting pinched several times while attempting to adjust the phone. It might be even more difficult with a larger phone. The holder has the ability to rotate completely at any angle, and the phone can be positioned either in front or back using a cold shoe attachment that my husband found user-friendly, but my son was not impressed with. Overall, we were impressed with the quality of this product, which functioned well and offered great adjustability. However, some of the adjustment mechanisms were not as user-friendly.
