  • Looks great as an informational monitor
I can't take any photos that are better than the ones included. For those who think "oh that's actually touch" no, it is not. It is just a monitor. I do wish it had the mounting points on the back for a Pi, but it doesn't. You'll need to provide the case and/or mounting hardware. The picture is clear, the screen is bright, the unit is light. But you DO need both the HDMI and USB cable so keep that in mind when you install this. Windows did not require any drivers, but I did have to find a powered USB port strong enough for it. I'm working on mounting it as a shopping list/calendar monitor for the kitchen. It should work well. ... show more

  • Works great! Works great!
This screen is perfect for a variety of projects. I have it setup as a mini Spotify monitor at my desk currently. The display is plenty crisp and I appreciate the build quality of it all. The display also includes a cheap stand, a usb cable, and hdmi cable. The stand will work in a pinch, but I hope to eventually put this display in a frame and hang it on the wall as a picture frame. My only gripe is that the monitor is powered via micro usb. It’s not a huge deal, but it is a bummer since most things are moving to usb-c. ... show more

  • Works with raspberry pi, but fyi, not a touch screen Works with raspberry pi, but fyi, not a touch screen
I tested this with my raspberry pi, and it does work as a small monitor. There are a few things to be aware of. - The USB cable is required for power for this to work. - It is not touch screen - You can get a touch screen for about the same price - The cables stick out from the side (see pictures) What this would work well for is if you want to use a raspberry pi or arduino, etc. to run a display mounted on a wall or something (weather display or something similar that wouldn't require touch screen). If that's what you're looking for, this could work, except the board on the back puts the cables right on the side so it would be hard to hide the cables, you'd need a large frame. It might be easier to remove the cables, but it's a bit of an eyesore. The viewing angles work like the listing says. It's viewable from different angles which is good, and the colors and brightness also are adequate/good. The stand is not all that great. If you need a cheap monitor or display, this could work, but just be aware that touch screen models aren't that far off in price or can even be found at the same price. ... show more

  • An incomplete product with some potential.
Maybe this is meant to be a screen for a project build, but as it stands, it feels largely incomplete. The included stand works fine and it has the basic power and video cables that you’d expect, but the back of the screen is the exposed video controller board. The power and HDMI ports stick out the side instead of back, which I found to be an odd choice. But this monitor really needs some sort of housing or enclosure (includes or as an optional accessory) to feel worth the price of admission. Otherwise, it works fine as a passive information monitor (and reads fine at 10 inches) but it lacks so many other features (specific to a Pi build or just for gaming) that I’m truly confused who this is for. ... show more

  • OK picture but several dead pixels.
Basic screen with no casing. Screen has several dead or bright pixels. Nothing special but might be useful for home arcade builds.

  • Cyberdeck screen
I wasn't ready to use this yet, but then I had a on booting headless computer and needed to see the bios. I didn't have much room so this was ideal. It got me past the problem with less aggravation than any other display I could have connected. I know it's not the best use for it, it's a really nice size for a raspi setup, which is my eventual intended use. Needing to make a case of some kind allows me to include the Pi when I get around to it. I'll probably get some right angle adapters for HDMI and USB power, and one of those butterfly folding keyboards for a nice Cyberdeck. I don't really care for the included stand, maybe I'll use it for a tablet. ... show more

  • Fine if you really want a 10-inch low resolution monitor, but there are other options. Fine if you really want a 10-inch low resolution monitor, but there are other options.
This monitor is hard to review because it works as advertised, but I think for many people this is not the monitor you want. As a monitor this works well and has a nice picture. However, 1024x600 resolution is fairly low, and right now Amazon is showing a 15.6" 1080P portable monitor for $2 more, so what is the point of this one? If you *really* need a 10-inch monitor and don't mind the resolution, this is fine. It has no mounting holes, which is a bit of a drawback, and the connectors stick out the left side, which might make a nice-looking mount difficult. It uses a micro-USB connector for power, and a full-size HDMI connector for video. There are 10.5" 1280P portable monitors for just a couple dollars more if the size is a primary concern, so again, what is the point of this case-less monitor? If you are building something for which an embedded 10-inch monitor is the right size and it is something like a control interface that doesn't need high resolution, then this could work well for you. If you just want a small monitor you can take places, look at a proper portable monitor instead. ... show more

  • I Wanted to like This Screen But... I Wanted to like This Screen But...
I really wanted to like this screen but unfortunately it's not quite worth it for the price ($45.99 when this review was written). The good: it works out of the box (mostly) and comes with the cords you'll need to use it! The bad: If you want to use the included stand, the screen won't sit evenly unless you turn it upside down so the board on the back isn't hitting one of the stand knobs, which means you're need to fix the orientation through your OS afterwards. The description says up to 1920x1080 but I wouldn't really consider this usable past 1024x600 if you want to read documents. The colors are off slightly. There was no way for me to get a decent red on the screen, and even solid white had a slight orange cast (reminds me of when you use a setting to reduce/remove blue light as the sun sets). A bright orange was the closest to red I could get to display. The "manual" is a card with a QR code which goes to a webpage containing two pdfs, neither of which match the model number of this screen, and neither manual contained any information I needed. Can't figure out how to change the brightness/contrast/colors etc. No on/off button (the manual on the website lists one). I'll keep using the screen and see if it grows on me, updating the review if I change my mind... ... show more
