This was an update to my Ram 0.75" ball mount, which worked fine with a 7" depth finder. I updated my depth finder to a 10" screen and it wouldn't stay in place while driving. I replaced my mount with this one and not only is the ball larger, the tightening screw handle is 3 times the size and it works like it was mounted on granite. It doesn't jiggle while going wide open against the wind and yet weighs very little.

This mount is easily installed. I installed on my Bass Tracker console in the cut out for the cup holder. I used a round electrical box cover (with gasket) and it fit perfectly over the hole. It is a little cumbersome to get the nut on the bolt under the console, but using duct tape to tape it on to your wrench helps muchly. Use stainless steel with nylon bushings saves trying to hold washers and nuts at the same time. Nice sturdy mount. RAM is still top of the line, but this is a near match and works great. Mounter my Garmin ecomap 93 fish finder on it and it is plenty sturdy.

This WINDFRD 2.25” Ball Fish Finder Mount is a SOLID, ALL METAL (ALUMINUM), WELL-MADE Unit with the Balls made of a high-strength corrosion-resistant composite material that doesn’t weather or rust. If you are looking for HIGH quality and well-designed, this unit fulfills the requirements. It is NOT a cheap knock-off by any means. It IS Super Load-bearing, and it holds my Garmin Ultra 126sv Fish Finder and mount of 9lbs, rock solid! It has a 22lb in-motion weight capacity and a 110lb standing support weight capacity that more than covers most larger Fish Finders. It has unlimited positioning/angling and a solid mounting base. It also comes with a long arm tightening wrench that has spring detent pull-positioning to reposition the arm for super tightening to achieve maximum clamp pressure. Super cool tool! I highly recommend this unit and it is one of the best Ball Type holders I have crossed paths with. One note: On this 11” wide mount, you may have to shift some units just left or right from ‘center’ about .5” to match the mounting holes available. Other than that, I did not encounter any negatives on installation and the clamp holding strength is ROCK-SOLID! SO, I am giving this WINDFRD Fish Finder 2.25" Ball-Mount 5-STARS.

I needed a Ram type mount to fit the Garmin 93sv into my small Lund windshield. Recommend size was 2.25 ball. My boat stays on a small lake so I didn’t need heavy duty. I decided to try this 1.5 ball. The reviews were positive for this unit. Ordered the short arm. It’s a really solid product, nicely rubberized aluminum. I used the 4 screws from Garmin to mount to my dash. The plate holes lined up with the Garmin bracket perfectly. You need to buy 4- 8-32 x3/4 machine screws with a lock nut. I used keep lock nuts. Only minor issue is that the handle rubs the bottom of the plate when set down past 90 degrees. It is very generic looking if that matters. Haven’t quite lived with it yet, but the few times I’ve had the boat out, it’s been solid. Good buy.
