    • Great Upgrade for the 3.6L Pentastar engine

If you own a 3.6L Pentastar engine, you will be familiar with all the plastic parts on it that fail. The plastic oil cooler is the most common. To change the spark plugs, coils, and/or oil cooler (and sensors on the oil cooler), you need to remove the plastic upper intake manifold which bolts into the plastic lower intake manifold. The bolts go into the lower plastic manifold, and it is super easy to strip these out. You can hela-coil the plastic to fix it, but a better fix is to replace the plastic lower intake manifold with this AL one. While you are in there, replace the plastic oil cooler and change you spark plugs. The overall design of the 3.6L with all the plastic parts is poor at best. This AL manifold will help with adding life to your 3.6L engine. ... show more

This intake comes with all new hardware. I did not use the bolts that secure it over the oil cooler. The bolts were a tad too long. I reused the original bolts there. The provided bolts for the fuel rail fit great. You will have to use the provided bolts for the upper intake manifold to mount because of the different bolt thread in the aluminum. Quality is actually very nice. Definitely a good upgrade along with the aluminum oil cooler. Also going to mention, if you’re switching to an aluminum oil cooler at the same time, order the mopar oem gaskets for it as well. Don’t use the aftermarket. The gaskets on the intake seem to be just fine but but that’s up to you. ... show more

2016 Promaster Van Pentastar. I had to replace my leaking oil/coolant heat exchanger. The 2 bolts in wells in the upper intake were rusted grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Tried to grind the tops off but no go and trashed the plastic lower so had to replace the upper and lower. It fit perfect and no issues after a couple thousands miles. Would be sweet if there was an aluminum upper, and if the windshield cowl on the van did not leak, working on some hacks for that ; ) ... show more
