This came very well packaged. It gives you the instructions right on the front of how to install. It is a hard plastic. It is not a very soft pliable one. It reminds me of when you peel off the plastic safety seal of a milk carton or drink and you have to take that plastic tab and pull the round Safety seal off of it. Its a hard plastic, not rubber but hard, plastic. It has a red, sticky backing that you pull off. As you are applying on this is does not feel rubbery, but it feels like a hard piece of cut PVC plastic, it's very thin, I would say 3mm wide. An about 10 mm wide. It's a bright, white color it has no sheen, but a matte it almost looks like satin coloring to it if\n You applied it along the seam of somewhere the plastic would look like it was part of the object. It would not look fake in any way you would not even know that you had applied this. After the fact it's pretty sticky comes nicely packaged. I would definitely recommend this. And you would pay triple the amount at any hardware store for this. When you peel the Red Tape off, there is a gel Strip, Along the backing of this to help apply it. If you used a hairdryer on low or applied a little bit of heat,a gentle heat, it wouldn't adhere perfectly. it was a very good price. Just not as wide as I needed for what I wanted. but I'm sure I can find something to use this with. As its Such a great product! It does have sharp edges when you cut it and it does apply to what you're putting it on nicely, just make sure the area is cleaned. First, it's easy to clean. This worked well as a border to end/border the strip of wallpaper being used as my backsplash. It wasn't as soft and flexible as I was hoping but more of a stiff plastic. For not too much money, it solved my problem of how to end the wallpaper.

The decorative strip is excellent to process and looks good. Heated with a hair dryer, it's even easier. But be careful: the adhesive strip is great. Once set in, he won't let go. Size and durability is perfect.. Value the money and installation so easy . I highly recommend..

I've used several different kinds of this material and this one is by far the worst. It only sticks to things with an already sticky texture, not to painted wall or bare sheetrock so forget using it as any kind of gap filler. The backing is almost impossible to get off without taking the adhesive with it. It's so stiff that the inner coil is useless because it won't lay flat. Using a hairdryer isn't effective, tried a small heat gun and that's too much heat and neither helped the adhesion. Basic scissors don't cut easily, I gave up trying to cut angles to make sharp joints. Wouldn't recommend.

I saw several reviews questioning the trim’s durability, but I found the quality to be excellent. It has about the same stiffness and flexibility as the plastic strapping used around appliance or furniture boxes, though it is obviously much more attractive. It also cuts easily with moderate- to heavy-duty scissors. Some reviewers complained about the adhesive, but it worked perfectly for me in 75-degree weather. As an extra precaution, after installing the trim, I warmed it with a hair dryer for a few minutes to help secure the bond. I used the trim to frame an illuminated house-number sign, and both the installation and the finished result could not have been better.

I used this as a trim on a wall between paint and wallpaper to have a crisp line. It looked great at first but 5 months later it is peeling up in multiple spots and the adhesive is failing. I'm going to have to carefully remove it without tearing the wallpaper and replace it with something else.
