I was so excited to receive this tabletop wheel based on the reviews! My expectations were very low to begin with, as I am a potter, and mostly purchased this inexpensive wheel for portable trimming and glazing. I didn't even get to try it! The foot pedal is clearly used, dirty and scuffed, and after trying several times (even taking the tray off, applying pressure to turntable, etc. - wheel does not turn at all! Motor runs, but wheel doesn't turn. I am sending the wheel back.

If you're a beginner this should work for you. Personally, I did not like it. Since I have experience with other pottery wheels this one didn't compare well to the others. I know for the price it's a pretty good deal but be aware if you have other experience it may not be the best option for you. It's smaller than I expected so I had to raise it up about 7 inches with a small table which is no big deal. The main problem for me is that the wheel slows down when you apply pressure when centering and it can mess you up quite a bit. I sometimes put my knees up against the wheel to get more stability and it would slide almost every time. I know this is a table top wheel but i figured it could be one that goes on the floor too. So, I guess my final advice/review would be that it should work nice as a table top wheel or for beginners but for more experienced potters it may not be the best option. Hope this is helpful!!

I was excited about the price and was hoping that the wheel would have no problems at all, but it arrived used and had a knock in the wheel. Makes it super hard to center clay when there's a knock at every rotation. Ugh. Second one sent back. If you're a beginner this is a great wheel! But beware you might have to send it back a few times around to then get a working one.

The wheel looks great. Simple design. Unfortunately, I received a product that doesn't work. It turns on but won't spin regardless of speed chosen. I am very disappointed and will be returning 😔. ***Update: the wheel works! Yayy!! Thing for others to note, it takes a few seconds when you first 'accelerate' on the pedal for it to start to spin. If it doesn't start right away, keep pushing down and wait for it to go. I haven't used it yet because I'm waiting on clay, but it seems to hold speed once I get it going, and is easy to change rotation direction and speed. It is quite low, but it seems perfect with a toddler stepping stool as my seat.

I, like some others received a defective wheel. It has a knock/wobble in the wheel that makes the whole wheel throwing process completely ineffective and unpleasant. I was really hoping to avoid this process of returning and repurchasing. I've contacted the seller and will adjust the review accordingly.

The tools arrived broken. It also looks like they tried to super glue the needle tool back in which could potentially be dangerous. Definitely not using the tools that come with.
