I have a long history working with security camera and alarm systems, first as an installer but later as an engineer... so when I come across something so impressive in it's ease of use and quality of features I don't mind giving it a shout out. Bonus, it cost almost nothing compared to most components I normally work with. So why did I buy it? Really on a whim, I was playing with various dashcams that had WiFi and was not impressed at all so when I saw this Wifi Cam on sale I gave it try and Wow, I'm so glad I did. This is a one off use case but I like to be able to see in my car remotely, specifically when I travel with my dog and leave her in the car while I run into a restaurant. The range in this cam's WiFi is outstanding and if I need more range I just turn on the hotspot in my car and the cam connects up right away and I can see my car from anywhere. Great image quality, sound, motion alarms, and the darn thing has the best mounting system, a strong magnet and ball joint type mount... the mount is stuck to a rear window using the included tape and the camera just magnetically grabs on and can be easily pulled out to charge. Oh by the way, I get about a month of battery life, even on the coldest days the battery runs strong. So super affordable, great battery, great image, great features, and super simple to use... the downside? I don't have more applications for these things. I recently changed jobs and am now traveling a lot. As a result my wife wanted some cameras just for some extra security for when I am not there. I wasn't a big fan of spending hundreds of dollars for 3 cameras and a whole bunch of stuff that came with it, so instead we were looking at these. When they came in the packaging was easy to open and everything was there. The instructions were pretty clear and I was able to sync of the 2 cameras I bought to the App right away. Although I ended up not using the magnet for the stand, the cameras are going outside so I opted to use the screw in base so that no one could just pop the camera off, the magnet is really strong though and it would be more than adequate if used inside a room or somewhere that people can't easily grab it. INSTALLATION: It was a breeze! The instructions and App walk you through everything! The cameras connected easily, although I would suggest charging your cameras before installation so they are all ready to go! Each camera came with everything I needed to mount the screw mount to the wall or siding of my house. The mount was snug into the walls, and even though the cameras have a fair bit of weight to the the tightening arm clamps down quite well so the camera can even be at an angle and not want to sink down. SECURITY: The app is super easy to use. You can adjust each cameras detection sensitivity in the app. and when it senses movement you get a notification to your phone in around 5-10 secs. the alert brings you to the picture taken with the camera. You can access your cameras view at anytime, just open the app and load the cameras stream. just make sure that it has a strong connection to wifi as that is how it relays messages. Also you can record via a cloud service or you can install a micro sd card, up to 128gb, for your own video back up. Pros: Easy install, just needed a screwdriver really, did have to drill a whole as it went into a harder material. App is great, and I was able to share my account with my wife so we both are able to access everything. Nearly instant notifications to my phone. Can be used for both inside and outside. Talk Back functionality! Originally I wasn't sure about it but I was out of town and my wife set the camera motion sensor on and we had a full conversation from 10ft away and it was crystal clear. In the event someone was trying to break in they could clearly hear talking to them! Cons: Sometimes the motion detection was a big quick and took a picture without anyone in it. I do have a street light in front of my house, maybe it caught shadows of people on the sidewalk? I wish I could rotate the camera view. I have one of the cameras sideways on my garage and I wish I could rotate the view, instead I just rotate my phone sideways. Overall I am really happy with it and my wife is really happy with it, that's what really counts. they are much cheaper than other options and work great. I have pictures for what the app looks like, night vision, and regular view. ... show more
