  • Longer travel, good quality
I have these shocks on my only remaining e-bike, having lost six e-bikes in a local fire. I have done over 200 miles on varying terrain. They feel to be holding up well. I may move them to my replacement e-trike and install double shoulder shocks on the Gravity Monster frame.

  • FITS A JUICED RIPCURRENT FAT EBIKE
This Bolany ZTZ Cheetahs suspension fork with its straight steer tube and rebound adjustment is WAY better than the stock MOZO Fatman suspension fork that came on my bike (and many other fat ebikes). The Mozo would never hold air from day 1 and the compression adjustment was so touchy. While the Bolany ZTZ Cheetahs is in no way a heavy duty fat fork like the Rockshox Bluto, it does cushion the bumps well and has a decent rebound adjustment on the road. You can hear the air movement within the shocks when you go over bumps- it sounds cool! The lower stanchions are made of magnesium but might feel like plastic to the untrained eye. This is for weight reduction. As with all suspension forks, you will need a decent fork pump with a screw-on air head to get the air up to 100+lbs. I hope the fork lasts. I will keep you posted. UPDATE 9/21- The Bolany ZTZ Cheetahs fork is holding up just fine with no signs of failing or leaks. As others have stated in reviews, the plastic internal stanchion guides do give the fork some flex under braking, but it doesn't seem to get any worse. It is a very heavy ebike I installed it on. Even so, you really need to think of these forks as "light to medium duty". If not beaten on, they work exceptionally well at that level. Your results may vary. SOME GOOD TIPS for keeping these medium-duty suspension forks in good working order are; #1. Before installation, release all the air from the compression tank. This will allow you to work the fork by hand, then spray a good dry Teflon lube onto the gold inner stanchions and work the fork through it's entire travel range several times until the stanchion guides and seals are lubed well. Wipe off all excess lube from the stanchions. Lubricating the stanchions periodically is a real good idea (it REALLY loosens up the fork, keeps it from being notchy and helps maintain it). If you understand how to take the fork apart to lubricate the internals with grease, that's even better, but be very careful not to strip anything. #2. Lock out the fork when suspension is not really necessary, like on a flat paved bike path. Remember, you're on a fat bike. The tires will act as a reasonable suspension, so you might as well save your fork for when you really need it. The more you use anything with moving parts, the less life it will have. #3. Lock it out only when you're off the bike and you lift up the front tire off the ground. This will extend the fork fully, thus making the fork sit at the proper height. Also never unlock the fork while you're on the bike unless you must. Releasing the lock with your added weight is harder on the lock out mechanism. #4. Keep your stanchions clean and lubed and you'll get a LOT more life from any suspension fork. These inexpensive forks are not really rebuildable, so you might as well get the most from it. Or you can do none of these tips and just have fun with it til it wears out, then get another one OR pay the HUGE money and get a down hill fork that costs 6 X the price. Taking care of your ZTZ makes sense, but its not always about makin' sense. It's your call! : D PS. Unlike this ZTZ fat fork with its straight steerer tube, virtually all the expensive ($700. +) fat bike forks available have tapered steerer tubes. On the other hand, only a few very expensive fat bikes have tapered head tubes that fit those expensive tapered tube forks, but most fat bikes come with straight head tubes. If you want to install an expensive tapered fork on a bike frame with a standard straight head tube, you will need to change out your bike's headset (or maybe just the bottom bearing and crown race- it's not that hard to do if you watch YT videos on the procedure). Cane Creek makes headsets that will accept an adaptor they sell that'll allow your bike's straight head tube to accept an expensive tapered suspension fork. Just email them and tell them what bike you have and what fork you want to install. There are many videos showing how to extract the old races and press in the new ones. Watch a video first. If you think you can do it, contact Cane Creek or whichever headset company you like. No need to pay someone to do it unless you're not confident in your abilities. ... show more

  • Quality control issues!
I ordered two of these knowing that they were for use on roadways and light trail use only. I mounted one on my fat tire e bike, adjusted the air and rebound and was satisfied with its function. I mounted the other on my partners bike and discovered that the rebound was not working even at full stop. I sent it back and requested a replacement which i received today. On examination I discovered the air valve and lockout caps were missing as was the rebound knob and brake cable clamp. Thinking they might be in a seperate bag I searched the box and bubble rap packaging to no avail. Apparently these forks receive no inspection before being shipped. I will be returning this third fork and requesting a refund to my account rather than take a chance the the next would be complete and in working order. ... show more

  • No complaints for thw price.
For a budget fat tire bike (insert any fattie with a 135mm front drop out ) you can't beat this. The front wheel fits, the suspension works as it should (the rebound could be better but for the price it's surprising it even has adjustable rebound), and it is almost as light as the steel rigid fork it replaced. I didn't even have to cut it. The steer tube was perfect for me on the Malus, The stanchions actually measure out at 34mm. I own also a Rockshox Reba and Recon, and also a Suntour Epixion on other bikes so I know what a decent fork should feel like. This is NOT as good as those BUT it cost HALF what the cheapest (the Suntour) cost and is way more than half as good.Don't yet know how well it will last but that's why I kept my rigid fork as a backup. ... show more

  • BIG improvement for Juiced Ripcurrent S
Easy install on my Juiced Ripcurrent S. Star nut and star nut installation tool included! After marking where to cut, I put a hose clamp on it to guide my cutting with hack saw. These forks give me a much more comfortable ride on gravel roads.

  • Watch YouTube videos for advice on how to cut the steering tube to the proper length
Looks sharp on my 26" fat tire ebike. Works well over sand that's bumpy from beach foot traffic. Haven't taken it on a trail yet but have no doubt it'll be an improvement over stock front fork.
