I was looking for a portable monitor to use as an extended display for my macbook pro when traveling and working remotely. I wanted something simple, easy to use, lightweight and travel friendly. It looked like this monitor would work, so gave it a try. Here are my thoughts after some use: + Easy to use with Macbook Pro. The USB-C to USB-C connection made it super easy to use with one cable for my purposes. If you have a full function USB-C port available on your laptop, this is a perfect choice for you. Because this monitor needs power, if you don't have a USB-C connection that can supply power, you'll need to use the included external power supply. + Screen Quality is very good. While it wasn't the brightest out of the box, you can turn the backlight up to make it brighter. I turned it all the way up and it was plenty bright. I eventually turned it back down to the 50% default and that's what I normally use. Note - the "+" button on the monitor is a shortcut to the backlight setting, so it's super easy to adjust - that's a nice feature to avoid going through the menu. + Image Quality is great. The resolution seems to be really good. It's not Retina, but I don't notice much difference between my laptop screen and this monitor. Text is sharp and clear for work purposes, and video is sharp and motion is smooth. No issues at all. Backlight looks even across the monitor and no flickering or anything to speak of. + Speakers are OK. I wasn't looking for good sound from the monitor and don't plan on using them. They are OK, but not something I would rely on for great sound. I would be OK if the monitor didn't even have the speakers. + Ports. Two USB-C ports (one for power and data, and one that is DP compatible). One mini-HDMI port, to use with included HDMI to mini-HDMI for sources with HDMI output. One micro USB for accessories. Everything I was looking for and all ports seem to work great + Cover / Stand. Integrated portfolio cover and stand is a great simple design. I really like it for its simple design and little leather flaps for 3 different positioning angles. I find they work better than indentions / grooves that other covers have. + Pen-Hole Stand. Love the ability to use a pencil or pen as a stand to use in either rotation. An easy travel alternative for a stand. All-in-all, a great monitor for the price. I'm very pleased. ... show more

UPDATE: Seller provided excellent customer service and resolved issues I had very swiftly. The product itself might not be a good fit for my needs but seller is trustworthy. Good for office work and not recommended for fast action gaming. The good - 4k clarity is good - brightness is good indoors - color accuracy is significantly improved after manual correction + HDR enabled The bad - confusing side buttons. All of them are the same round button so it is hard to navigate monitor’s menu - this monitor has a high response time. Be aware if you plan to do FPS gaming. Chill games like stardew valley/minecraft won’t be impacted much. - there might be coil whines type noise coming from the monitor ... show more

    • Decently solid monitor for my temporary PS5 use

I’m currently in a temporary housing due a house fire and while I recover from that, wanted a cheap monitor in the meantime to play my PS5 which I was able to salvage. This is a basic 1080p 60hz monitor and it works well with the PS5. Comes with all the cables to set it up; USB-C, HDMI to mini HDMI and power adapter (there is no internal battery). You can also power it up and display through one USB-C with compatible devices. Picture quality is pretty solid but you’ll most likely need to make some adjustments to the settings. It’s a bit too dark with HDR on. And speaking of settings, the menu navigation is extremely confusing and takes a bit to understand how to navigate through. Build quality is nothing fancy. It’s plastic but feels sturdy enough. The case serves as a holder itself with three different angles you can use, but it’s not really stable and doesn’t lock in sturdily. All in all, it’s a decently solid enough cheap portable monitor for casual use. Probably better keeping it in one place but if you’re careful with your equipment it should still work well on the go. ... show more

This product absolutely exceeded expectations. Needless to say I was skeptical because of the branding. The product is extremely light but sturdy at the same time. I throw it in my travel backpack with my laptop etc. without hesitation that it will survive. The fact the monitors housing acts as a case is great. The resolution is 1080P but definitely is not a high-quality gaming monitor. I use this for work tasks when I’m on the move and it helps me with setting up wherever I need to start working. While it does come with speakers, I would much rather suggest that you use your computer or laptop speakers instead, as they are not very loud on the product, but that doesn’t loose value in my perspective as it was purchased just as a monitor and nothing more. They provided all necessary cables, and the monitor is extremely easy to use if you have two hands. ... show more

I'm on nearly 100% travel for work right now and I needed an extra monitor both for work and for avoiding boredom in the hotel room at night. Is it perfect? No, obviously not. It's not nearly as good as the Retina display on my Macbook Pro. It doesn't have the blackest blacks and the cleanest edges or the most consistent brightness, and a lot of light colors wash out the finest details... And that's fine. This is a screen engineered to be light-weight and ready to travel, and it is. The designers knew what they needed to make, and that's all they made. It doesn't have anything fancy like GSync. It doesn't have any frills. And it doesn't need them. This monitor knows what it needs to be, and that's all that it is: inexpensive, simple, lightweight, and you can get it with same-day delivery.
