I worked as a makeup artist for 4 years while in college. The brushes meant for powder products are not great. They don’t hold the product. I much prefer natural hair brushes for powder products. The foundation brush and various eye brushes that can be used for liquids work great. The brushes looks nice and seem well made. Price point is low and makes this set worth buying. Just don’t expect the powder brushes to work well.

This set is so beautiful. Quality looks great! I rely heavily on reviews when ordering through Amazon and I'm glad I ignored the bad reviews and listened to the glowing ones. Thank you reviewers!! This looks very high end. The box design looks different from what others got so maybe it differs. This is also a great set for beginners because the handles are labeled. So first impressions: •Powder/blush brush and contour brush is very soft and feels dense. •Foundation brush is just the right stiffness. •Shadow brushes are just right •Concealer brush is a little too small for me. I wish it was a little wider, but def not a deal breaker. •Smudge sponge feels really still. Don't know how I'll like that. It doesn't feel spongy at all. ♡ the lipbrush!! I don't know how I missed it. I love that you can cover up the brush part so it doesn't get dirty when you throw it in your purse. I've had a similar lip brush gifted to me over 10years ago and been looking for one just like it with no success. I'm so happy to finally find one! So there is a smell straight out the package. It doesn't smell like chemicals though..it's more woody smelling. The best way I can describe it is like when you enter an empty house that has all wood flooring and panelled walls that has been sitting without air conditioning in a humid environment. I am sure it'll come out once you let the brushes air out. I always wash before using new brushes and you should too.

I’m enjoying the brushes so far. I actually really like them. I was under the impression that I would get a roll up clutch bag but got a zip clutch bag instead. Would’ve much rather had the roll up.

I think these brushes are okay if you just getting into make up and want to learn how to use brushes.. I wouldn't recommend these brushes for professional use on paying clients however the good for traveling as I find them small enough to put in a make up travel bag for self usage .These brushes aren't very soft I find them stiff so I probably won't reach for these set much as the 100% Synthethic I Personally prefer Natural hair make up brushes their much softer and blend more seamlessly that's just my preference but if you like synthetic cruelty free brushes these may work for you.
