The bumper walls are made of the clumpy filling that you see in cheap dog beds. The filling is chunky, it's weak and there's no support. I have tried fluffing it up, giving it time to fluff up and I'm getting nothing. Choose something else if you're looking for quality.

My 3 month old is comfortable and safe nesting on this pad but when she was just a few weeks old it scared me because of its soft plushness. She would sink down in it. It is very soft and comfy but not firm enough for a couple week old baby...Id say great for 2 months +

I lucked out with a newborn toddler. He’s basically a baby linebacker. Little guy was holding his head up as soon as he was out of the womb.. he also has this fancy trick he does where he rolls all over the place and gives me mini heart attacks all of the time. This product keeps him stationary. It’s extremely soft and feels like it’s good quality. I wanted the SnuggleMe lounger, but I spent way too much on Christmas presents and this baby hates literally everything, so I didn’t want to spend $110 on a pillow he could possibly despise.
