This is my first time leaving a comment but I need to warn other parents. Toys came smooth but it started to turn rough after 2-3 use. My 5 months old doesn't even have teeth yet. he started to have rashes around his mouth after playing with this toy. These wooden teethers have a toxic coating on them. I soaked them in water for 12 hours and the water turned this horrible color with a bad smell. Then washed, soaked in soapy water again for another 24 hours. Water was stilll brown tinted and cloudy but not as bad. When I dried them, they were all rough and scratchy. I received these teethers as a part of a rebate giveaway, but I am not being paid for this review. However, I think these teethers are great! They were a bit smaller than I expected but my baby was able to grip them with no issue. The string holding the beads seems very strong and the wood itself was smooth. I saw another review where the reviewer said the wood became bumpy. If you read the product description on here, the manufacturer recommends using a small amount of coconut oil to keep the wood smooth and to clean them regularly but not soak in water. ... show more

I ordered two of these. One was in good condition and really cute. The other was rancid from oil. The box smelled and was oily even. I had to throw it away :( very disappointed. The one in good condition I gave to a friend and she liked it.

I had bought this when my son was 4 months old and he had very little interest in it. However, now at 6 months old, these are absolutely his favorite teethers. The hedgehog with the loop of silicon and wood beads is especially easy for him to hold and he happily munches on both the hedgehog and the beads.
