It’s a decent drone! Easy to use, very light yet sturdy enough to withstand full speed wall crashes with no damage whatsoever. Comes with two compact batteries that can be connected to any USB charging device (wall chargers, power banks, laptops, etc.). Unfortunately, I guess due to the extra compact size, battery life is not the best; the spare battery however charges quickly enough for a rapid stop and go replacement. Besides the basic commands, it is preprogrammed with a variety of interesting maneuvers such as trajectory flight, hover, flips, etc. It has the ability to shoot photos and videos with decent quality. Hovering is steady enough for good quality pictures. Comes with the typical console controller but once you download the app you can control everything with your cell phone. So far I have only tried it indoors in a large warehouse with plenty of space for high speed and quick maneuvers. Due to the small size and extra light structure it may be limited in terms of outdoors functionality as I guess it would be susceptible to wind interference. Overall, it is a cool unit! I would define this as something halfway between a toy and a more high performance drone: it’s not the right tool if you’re looking for something to produce creative videos but it is pretty good if you just want to have fun. ... show more

I fly high end drones for videography. There are many FAA restrictions and rules for drones. Since the drone always has to be in a "Visual Line of Sight" or VLOS, the drone size makes a difference. Meaning that it is best used inside or a gymnasium type building. Keeping it somewhat close allows you to see it better and not lose control or get disoriented. My first flights with this little fellow was on a mildly gusty day. It got away from me really fast. If I had been up high, where the gusts are stronger, this would have been a "Fly Away" condition and I would have lost it most likely. I had to drop it pretty quick when the winds kicked up. This happened several times. The drone took no damage at all. Also, I take the prop guards off to lighten the load and giving me more flight time. This pic was taken at my mothers lake where it is pretty calm. I was about 40 feet in the air for this. This does not have GPS hold on it and that's what makes it good indoors. There are a lot of buttons on the controller so get very familiar with what they do and where they are. I had no problem getting them to pair. Charging the batteries took less than 15 minutes each. All in all, it's a lot of fun to fly. It will keep you on your toes. I think that this would be very good for improving hand and eye coordination. ... show more

Excellent starter drone for the money. Very well-built, sturdy and not flimsy like other drones and best part is it comes with a 2nd battery for extended play. Good for kids as it comes with propeller protectors, and some neat one-touch features like 1-key take-off and landing. Very compact design and smaller remote control so this was designed with kids in mind as their hands are smaller. But adults can easily play with this drone as well. Best part is its small footprint/size, which allows for putting into a backpack or small bag to take it on-the-go. Will be purchasing a couple more of these as Christmas presents for the nephews in the family. ... show more

I purchased this drone for my son as a gift. My older son got a drone for his birthday and my youngest had to have one. I found this one online and it is perfect. He is 10 yrs old and immediately was able to fly the drone and do some pretty cool tricks. The camera, gesture and voice control were pretty nice as well. Son loves it and now older son wants this drone too! It comes with everything you need to set up and only takes a few minutes to get ready for flight. Although the item might have been a bit smaller than anticipated (I probably didn't even read the dimensions before purchasing!) this is a great little item, and I enjoyed playing with it with my children out doors--and even indoors, much to my wife's chagrin. Really cool little drone! I bought it for my son, who crashed his old drone recently. This model seems way more crash resistant as well as easier to navigate than our older version. We haven't had the chance yet to try it outside so I can't speak to its range, wind conditions, and so on, but for the price you pay. The only downside I see is access to the battery - it's a little cumbersome, but I guess that just comes with the size/weight etc. Overall I highly recommend the ZGMON drone to all who want to get into drone flying! ... show more

This is a small drone, good for kids and the shipment contains everything you need. As with anything, use your judgment as to what is appropriate for your child and how much supervision is needed.
