I’m shocked how great the quality is for how little I paid. It’s so soft and my boyfriend got so many compliments on Halloween from strangers on the great outfit. The sunglasses and pipe are a nice touch and the hat is true to the shape of the real one. Hard to find that.

I’m 6’2” and 175lbs and decided to order the Large and it fits Perfectly…….although one small gripe! As EVERYONE else said prior in the reviews … the pants and robe are of Great quality and will last. But I had to go to a local seamstress and and pay an additional $30.00 for them to add “SNAP” buttons and also cut strips from the Tie Belt to make Belt Loops for the jacket as it has none at all and so the jacket comes loose and the belt falls down if you move around too much. I am planning on going to a Skateboard Halloween Jam where I will be moving around a lot and would like everything to stay together. Hopefully the creators of this costume will consider these modifications as I’m sure others would pay the extra it would cost to make a couple of belt loops and snap buttons instead of having to take it somewhere else to be modified…. Just my two cents!

Pretty good for a Halloween costume id say the smokers jacket runs small compared to the pants but they were soft and came with everything you need except for the slippers.

I ordered this ZeroShop Halloween Costumes for Couples 2024, Adult Mens Captain Hugh HEFNER Bunny Jacket Robe smoking jacket costume for my teenage son, he loves midcentury menswear and had been looking for a smoking jacket for a while. The sales page calls this a Hugh Hefner costume, I think more of James Bond when I think of a smoking jacket. That, or my dad, who wore them back in the 1960s and 70s. My son and I had spotted a similar costume kit a few days before, similar smoking jacket and pants, same hat and pipe, but that kit’s jacket and pants were made of a thin polyester. This smoking jacket is a thick velvety fabric. So are the black pants. The sales page calls the fabric “100% blend cotton.” I’m not exactly sure what that means. I think it’s probably a cotton/manmade blend. The fabric is heavy and velvety, my teenager loves it. The jacket is nice enough to wear for real, not just as a costume piece. The pants would be too, though I’m not a super fan of elastic waist pants. Both jacket and pants are well made enough to be worn as regular lounge clothes, not just for Halloween. I was very happy the smoking jacket wasn’t branded with the Playboy bunny. It’s just a red velvet jacket black lapels, black cuffs, a wide velvet belt, and black trim on its big pockets. My son is almost 6’ tall, he weighs about 200 pounds. He’s built big, wide shoulders and sturdy Scots thighs that look great in his kilts. I ordered him the XL and it fits just the way he likes, with a bit of extra room left over for comfort. He’s a big kid, and the XL is a touch big for him, this may run a bit large, sizewise. He’s very pale with dark curly hair, the dark red is a great color on him and he looks super cute in the outfit. He loves midcentury menswear, whether it’s vintage, reproduction, vintage-inspired, or even a costume like this. He says men’s clothes were more fun back then and more flattering. This is a kid who wears a suit or coat and tie to high school by choice. He’s very pleased with the smoking jacket, and plans to wear it often, not just as a costume. The costume kit is rounded out with a few accessories, including a pair of aviator glasses, a fake pipe, and a captain’s hat that has a Captain Steubing from the Love Boat feel. I guess Hugh Hefner wore a captain’s hat? Anyway, this set has everything you need if you want to dress up as Hef, or if you just like rocking a smoking jacket, like my very cool kid. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the velvety fabric in the jacket and pants. We recently saw a similar kit in the same price range where the jacket and pants were made from an inexpensive, flimsy polyester fabric. At the current price ($38.99) just the thick, velvety smoking jacket would be a bargain. But you get the whole kit: the velvet jacket with belt, the black velvet pants, the gold-trimmed captain’s hat, the faux pipe, and the inexpensive aviator glasses. Such a 1970s/80s aesthetic, Hef at the Mansion. The smoking jacket also reminds me of James Bond in the 60s… or maybe even Noel Coward or Cole Porter in the 1920s. Like a tuxedo, most men can really rock a smoking jacket. This one is a lot of fun, love the soft velvet.

What a fun costume! It has all the pieces you need to play a leisurely billionaire... smoking jacket, lazy pants, captain's hat, pipe and aviators. The jacket and pants are well made, and comfy to wear. The glasses are lightweight, but nice. And I have no idea if the pipe is real, but it looks great. Cool costume set, for a great price.

This costume kit has a lot going for it. The smoking jacket and pants are both incredibly soft and could be used as real homewear, slight downsides being the pants don’t have pockets and the robe has no belt loops. The back of the jacket is blank (no bunny logo), which makes it more versatile. The pants are labeled “M” for medium, and that seems about right. I was pleased to find that the hat has a snapback and easily fits my large head. It could also be used for other costumes like Popeye or The Skipper from Gilligan’s Island. The glasses are just a pair of cheap aviators and could be used as real sunglasses. The pipe is a plastic toy, but it looks pretty good. Overall, I’m quite pleased.
