Seven dogs of our own (two being seniors), and we also foster. With that being said, I have tried many shampoos, and they failed, until this Zep shampoo. I'm now on my second carpet cleaner (in a year) as I clean carpet daily! This is a lower foaming shampoo, which I really appreciate. My carpet cleaner has rotating brushes, which will create a foam, but a quick rinse eliminates any of it. I apply some Zep directly to any tough spots/stains, and I rarely have to hand scrub any. The after smell is just clean, and I'm talking some very disgusting "three p" spots. That would be poop, pee and puke smell! Eliminated!!!!!! I highly recommend this product. I've been using this for years for the twice a year carpet cleaning in my house. I rent a unit from HD and do it myself. Good stuff. Gets rid if the dog smell. Well, adopted two dogs a few weeks back and have needed to clean a few times with the accidents occuring on the carpet and even the husband tracking crap on the bottom if his shoe through the house. I have 4 large dogs, so I have to clean my rugs regularly. Zep got out stains that other rug shampoos left behind -- stains that I thought were set in for good. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using this carpet cleaner on our very thick & heavily trafficked carpet for a couple of years. It’s much, much less expensive & you’re given a lot more solution than other brands. It also cleans just as well as other high priced shampoo’s. I wish they offered a measuring cup as part of the lid but it’s not a big deal. Great product. ... show more

Love this! I used this with my new Hoover carpet shampooer and living in military housing I knew these carpets were nasty but what came outta mine was horrific! I wish the smell was a bit better (why it's only 4 instead of 5 star) but its tolerable!
