I just started working on forming my little Bonsai tree. These wires seem to work well. They are pliable yet firm and should keep the branches in the form I have created. Time will tell however so far so good. The kit came with plenty of wire so I'm not sure I will need any more, but at this point I would buy this kit again.

Easy to use and did the job. This was bought for a first try at bonsai so I really don't have anything to compare it to. I would buy it again.

I bought these aluminum wires for starting up a bonsai hobby. They're good for that as that's what they were designed for. I found that the 2-mm wire is also perfect as nose pieces when embedded into the face masks my wife sews for covid-19 protection -- they help mold the masks around my nose to prevent the masks from fogging up my/my kids' eye glasses. The wires seem high-quality. Soft and very pliable aluminum with what appears to be either an anodized or shiny enamel coating. Unlike copper wires, they do not harden up after multiple bending. They remain soft and pliable after bending (which is why they are so perfect as mask inserts for the nose pieces).

At first I thought wiring a bonsai was difficult. It isnt. The only thing it didnt come with that I needed for shaping were needle nose to twist the wire tight during pulling limbs around the base. The variety was perfect for my chinese elm. I used 3 different weights the last go round. It is a great value. I am a value shopper, I shopped around and this was the best deal. The wire cutters work great too.

As a beginner bonsai enthusiast, I found this wire to be easy to use. The set has a variety of options and plenty of each one, which has been good for learning the different wire sizes. It is flexible enough to wrap branches and stiff enough to stay where I put it. My trees seem to respond well to it. I have not had any complaints or problems using this wire. I don't have a lot of experience to compare with other wire, but it does what I want it to do. I would purchase this again.
