Broken and Cracked Bar. Unusable Since the day we received our bar set it arrived broken. It’s understandable that stuff gets broken sometimes during shipping or manufacturing. We promptly reached out to the customer service email provided in the instructions. administration at zathletic dot net . We also gave them the pictures you see here. The bar was essentially unusable since the crack is where the kids would have used the bar, and they would have gotten splinters and other things I’m sure from using a cracked wood covered bar of fiberglass. This was on July 1st, 2020. After only a few hours of our inquiry, a wonderful operations Manager, Alaina, got back and dealt with the issues swiftly. They had agreed to ship out a replacement in a few days. We were very happy with the response and felt good. July 12th. We got our replacement package and were happy it arrived, until we opened it. It was not a bar, surprise! They sent us a completely different product, an additional matte set. We understand that mix ups happen, so we reached out again and let them know what happened. This was on July 13th, 2020. On July 21st, the operation manager got back apologizing for us receiving the wrong replacement item. It happens I guess with all the demand going on right now. They were very accommodating and said they were going to fix it and send along the correct replacement. Aug. 6th, 2020. Reached out to them again. No Response. We have still not received our product. Sept. 1st, 2020. Reached out to them again. No Response. We Have still not received our product. Sept. 8th. Left voicemail on the Operational Managers phone number from her past email correspondence signatures. Still have not received any Response or product as they stated back on July 21st. This is ridiculous at this point. Even Toilet paper is back in stock at this point. So, At this time, it’s fair to say that we’ve tried our best to get in touch with z athletic. It’s too bad. After all our research we found this to be a good product based on reviews and such to buy for our kids during this crazy time. Also, outside of the damaged bar and really really really bad customer service, the product seems well built and looks nice. Haven't tried it, for reasons above I hope you can glean here, so I can’t tell you how it works. I will not recommend this to anyone at this point and I guess you get what you pay for. We now have an expensive set of metal bars and a pile of bolts sitting in my garage unusable. We had to remove it from site, as we got tired of expelling to our kids that the “parts are coming soon,” Sorry kids! ... show more

    • Solid Construction--Amazing Customer Service

Bought this for my kids to practice gymnastics on. Girls age 18, 7 and 4 and a boy 9 y.o. None of them are very advanced. But they are all practicing pullovers, back hip circles, etc. The quality of the mat is VERY good. Just the right kind of soft firmness. The bar is very sturdy and doesn't rock any more than the one at our gym. There doesn't seem to be a need for additional stabilizers. The beam is solidly constructed. Both the beam and bar are easy to adjust, although the bar is much easier to adjust DOWN than UP unless you have two people. The package was delivered with a damaged box, but all the parts were there. Adequate assembly instructions were provided. And we got the whole job done, assembling the bar and the beam in less than an hour. We could have done it faster if we could find our socket set. But since we couldn't, we used two old fashioned wrenches. Still took us less than an hour with me and my 17 y.o. son working together. Update: We've had this bar just over a year. It is still solid and dependable. My children can adjust it without my help. The boy (now 10) and girl (now 8) have both advanced rapidly and are now on the competitive team. So this bar and beam get lots of use. Of course, there are advanced things they cannot do on the bar because it's not high enough. But it's still perfectly adequate for practicing basic skills--pullover, back hip circle, mill circle, etc. As well as a few things they probably SHOULDN'T do.🙄 We had a bit of damage last weekend to the bar rail, and some of the veneer peeled off--no idea of cause. Since it's been a bit over a year (which is the warranty period) I contacted the company to see if I could purchase the rail separately. They informed me that it was still under warranty and are shipping me a replacement rail. This is ABOVE AND BEYOND customer service. I was absolutely willing to pay for the replacement, but they are shipping it to me, no cost, no questions asked. Wow! ... show more
