I had tested a few parfums when I was in Sephora getting some makeup and I came across the ysl black opium. I decided I liked the illicit green but the price tag was too high for me at the time. I told my husband about it two days later, after taking two showers, it still remained on my wrist where I sprayed it, even though I scrubbed there good while washing my hands many times a day and shower the two times.... I told him how much I liked it and let him smell it. I never buy parfum for myself. I have never spent this much on a bottle in my life. But I truly do this the scent of this one. My husband went right on Amazon here and said he wanted to get me a gift and bought the big bottle for me. I'm not quite certain how to describe the scent... It's a bit vanillay.... But that's after it being on for a little while when you first spray it, it smells how I picture old Hollywood would smell. Sounds so silly but really. It's not overly rich, or pungent. It lasts forever. It's like earthy floral not fancy floral.... Like wild flowers not orchids., Definitely with that hint of vanilla woody scent in the background. It has depth.     • Good scent but it doesn’t last
I purchased this scent based on reviews that stated that it lasts a long time. Well it doesn’t last more than 2 hours. I wish I could return it as I don’t see myself using it, even though the scent is clear and it dries out nicely.
