  • Yukon Charlie National Park Snoeshoes
Size: 9x30
I researched snowshoes, and these were the most aesthetically pleasing - so cute! Has the toe kick which I was looking for also!

  • Good Starter Package But Not Built For Longevity
Size: 9x30
I have wanted a pair of snow shoes for a number of years now but never got around to getting them. So when I had the opportunity to check these out, I jumped on it. I will be the first to admit I'm not a snowshoe aficionado, as this is my first pair, so I can only go on my personal experience with them and my knowledge of materials and construction and what to look for in a well-made product. This seems like a useful starter package for someone like myself. The aluminum frames are sturdy and well balanced. I know nothing of the strength and longevity of the material they use that it stretched in the frame...this is something I need to research if I really decide to get into snowshoeing seriously. The top bindings are a good, heavy duty nylon strapping. One of my biggest concerns for the longevity of these snowshoes is the binding that goes around the heel. It's a really lightweight vinyl type material that I'm not sure I would trust to last more than a season or so. At this price point I would have expected better. See photos. I particularly like the way they set up the straps to put the snowshoes on. Both the top straps and the release have a loop that you can pull easily with gloves or mittens on to tighten or loosen the straps. I think the way it is done is pretty genius actually though once we get snow and I have to get them on and off in real life, that could change! The poles are decent and solid and marked in inches and centimeters so that once you know the right setting for you, you can quickly lock them in without having to adjust them. I appreciate the bag that they come in which will make storage easy and tidy. All in all, I definitely am looking forward to playing with these this winter and seeing if snowshoeing is something I want to pursue more. Having researched a few other options though I would say that if you are a serious snowshoer, I'd look elsewhere for a pair with stronger bindings. For *me*, these will do for my "learning curve". I'll update once I've put these to work this winter! Happy Shopping! ... show more

  • Great beginner shoes
Size: 9x30
Light weight and sturdy, but your foot seems to turn in the set up, not sure if my feet are to small? Anyhow still a great product no issued at all, I'm a beginner at snow shoes.

  • Bad Product Durability and Poor support
Size: 9x30
A plastic piece broke after one use. I bought for my boyfriend last winter and he finally was able to use them and now they are out of warranty. It’s a cheap piece and I’m struggling to find a part replacement. So because of this plastic piece, the snowshoes are unable to be used. Complete waste of money. Contacted the seller and they sent me to the manufacturer and did not help at all. I’m not sure I’ll buy this brand ever again. Too expensive to have no options when a silly piece breaks. Also their customer service said no repair available and no replacement part available. ... show more

  • Great starter set
Size: 9x30
This is a great set of everything you need to give snowshoeing a try.... or to gift to someone who should give snowshoeing a try. :-) The shoes are strong but lightweight, and pretty easy to get in and out of; the poles are adjustable length and have contoured and comfortable handles (with a sort of sueded texture so they're not slippery in your hand); and the bag is handy to keep it all together when not in use. In case you're unaware, the heavier you are, the larger the snowshoes should be to prevent you from sinking into the snow. But you don't want them larger than they need to be, just because it can be more cumbersome to walk around. So I would pay attention to those weight limits, and get the right size. ... show more

  • Very nice mid-range snowshoes for rolling terrain
Size: 9x30
Having, finally, moved north after living in Kentucky for a decade, I am back to snowshoeing. When I was given a chance to try out this new Yukon Charlie snowshoes, I jumped at the chance since we were going to be needing some for my husband. These National Park snowshoes appear to be essentially identical to my Yukon Women’s Pro Float snowshoes, except that mine are smaller and pink. Like my Yukon Women’s Pro Float, these are easy to put on / take off, easy to adjust, and allow for a fairly natural stride. Don’t underestimate how nice that easy on / easy off is when you have cold fingers. These have a heel lift, which make them suited to rolling terrain or even somewhat steeper slopes, though I wouldn’t use them for rougher terrain or ice. But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.) ... show more

  • Why did I get these? they sure look cool
Size: 9x30
No idea why I got these. we don't get enough snow to use them around here but I always wanted a pair so I grabbed them when the opportunity presented itself. nice package. shoes and poles. I would not call them the sturdiest set I have ever seen but they seem plenty strong enough so far. I like that I can put it all back in its packaging/bag/container. would like to see a nicer storage sack for them but thats a minor nitpick. If we get a decent snow I will be sure to try them out and see how it goes. I don't expect a problem. ... show more

  • Size properly! Awesome set of shoes
Size: 9x30
This is a great set of snowshoes. Comes with shoes, poles that can be used for snow or hiking, and a bag to store it all in. These are really sturdy, easy to put on, and take off. Cleaning them is easy as well. These are nicer than the ones we were renting. We got the wrong size initially but decided to get a second set so I could accompany my family member. Just don't fib about your weight, because that is how you determine the right size.... hint--the shoes won't judge you :) ... show more
