Was excited to get this portable closet because I needed something that I was hoping was easy to store coats and jackets and winter items in. This is not the easiest thing to assemble. But after about an hour I got it all together. The shelves are thick plastic, which I feel over time won't last all too well, but as long as you don't overload weight on them, they should be OK. I like that there is a cover to enclose the whole thing because if you need to move it, you don't have to worry about stuff falling out. Overall it is a decent buy for the price. But if I were to consider other options I would have gone with something a little different. The picture online doesn't show that the tubes to build it all are colored florescent colors. Not my favorite, should just be all white. But oh well. It's doing its job. ... show more

    • Fell apart after 21 months

It was fine for a while, but after 21 months it fell apart. I'm laying down getting ready for a nap, when I hear a weird noise, and next thing I know, this thing falls on my bed. Luckily I was on the other side. The metal poles were fine, but almost all of the PP connectors that the seller claims are so "sturdy" were split open. Unfortunately for me, that closet is the only one I could find that is both short enough to fit under my low, slanted ceiling, and wide enough to fit all my clothes. Would I buy it again? Maaaybe. I'm thinking about it. But my advice would be if you do buy this closet, maybe do something to strengthen or reinforce the connectors, like coating them in epoxy or something. I've tried replacing them with actual PVC connectors, but they're all either too small or too big, so that's not an option. If you don't have any weird height limits on your closet like I do, I would advise getting something more sturdy and reliable, unless you want to replace it every couple of years or less. ... show more

I was challenged with too many clothes and not enough closet space when I moved. I was looking for a solution and came across these closets. They (yes I got 2) turned out to be the perfect solution to my problem. I had too much fun putting them together and the little mallet that came with the assembly set has now been added to my toolbox. Total assembly probably took about an hour to an hour and a half each. The instructions, picture diagrams, color coded poles, different connectors (I sorted these by type in separate bowls so I was not grabbing the wrong piece) and plastic sheets for the shelves made it easy to know what goes where. (Extra connectors were included just in case anything went wrong but thankfully I didn't have to use any.) Once assembled they were light weight and easy to move. As you can see by the pictures added they are definitely sturdy enough to hold a significant amount of clothes and I used cubby boxes for foldable items on the shelves. I now have a walk in closet in the garage and the zip covers keep everything from getting dusty. I've been using them for a few months now and all in all I am ecstatic with this purchase. Kind of intimidating looking for two senior citizens at first glance. The first layer was a pain in our butts, I almost beat my husband with the mallet provided. Finally got into a rhythm and the rest went somewhat smoother. If I ever get one of these again the grandkids are putting that booger together for us. When putting poles into connectors put a little Vaseline on the polls to help slide in better. It’s a very nice portable closet. Fit a lot of clothes and shoes.

Let me start by saying that the color scheme is rather garish, in my opinion. Also, the cover pattern is rather old fashioned. But I purchased it anyway since I did not plan to have the portable closet open to public view. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, and a mallet was provided by the seller which you will need to make sure the rods are fully inserted into the connectors. Extra connectors were also included which is a good thing because I did damage one of them while inserting a rod. The unit is sturdy; but I am not sure of the weight limits.
