The cable works fine. I can't say I noticed any improvement in sound quality in my HD6XX headphones but at least did not have to spend a fortune to learn that. I was expecting more of a power bump by using the balanced output from my Fiio K7 DAC/amp - it is there but not dramatic. The cable might be more useful with a less powerful amp.     • Great headphone cable. No issues. Price is reasonable.
No problems, here. No microphonics. The cable is very flexible and soft. The sound is as good as any cable. I like that it comes in a little leatherette pouch and plastic case, with a little leather strap to bind it up when coiled. Great value.

I bought this to try my HD 600 in balanced mode. I was not expecting much, but I was happy with the result. My amp is perhaps best used with this cable as there seems to be more power on tap (FIIO K9 ARM version). I tried different single ended cables before, but didn't notice a change. I'm not saying that the cable really makes a difference in sound, although it may, but that it uses the amp differently and I have a sense of more headroom and dynamics. ... show more

    • 4.4 connector fell apart 8 mos. in. Very cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I really loved that I'd gotten such a good deal on this replacement cord for my Sennheiser/Drop HD 6xx...that is until the deal wasn't so good. The connector simply fell apart irrevocably tonight when I went to use the phones. C'est la vie. I've learned and will now look for a sturdier cable.
