The picture on the inside of the lid is well done and the tune sounds exactly as one would expect from a pin & comb mechanism. My teenage son gave me this gift because I used to sing this song to him each day on the drive to school when he was little. I love this little music box for that reason. But I did want to add some context regarding its size. It fits neatly between your thumb and index finger. The music plays AS YOU TURN. So, it's not a "wind it up"; after you stop, the entire song plays type of music box. It's cute, though. Not very durable. Handle it with EXTREME care. It's in the category of "play it when you get it," place it on a nice shelf and keep it out of reach of small or clumsy hands. One drop, and more than likely, it's gone.

This box has nice engraving and sounds really cool. The one I bought plays "You are my sunshine" and I purchased the version for girlfriends that says "I wish I met you sooner" etc. It turned out to look and sounds great, and the gf was really happy with it. It seems small and kind of fragile, but I don't know why anyone would be banging it around, so if it sits on a countertop or shelf or whatever, it's going to be fine. Would recommend.
