Have never used this brand before. Have used Goodyear, Dunlap, Firestone, Michelin and Primewell along with others over the years. I have been missing out!! These tires roll super smooth and make very little road noise. They change direction really well and brake even better. I put them on my Nissan Desert Runner which had a tendency to "step out" when corning at high speed with a bump in the corner. I could not believe it when these tires did not do that! I installed these on my 2007 Tacoma Pre-runner. Went from a Bridgestone 245-75-16 to these Yokohama Outlander 265-75-16. Very satisfied with the smooth ride and also very pleased with the 1.5” lift on the truck . I’m a Expert Certified Toyota Technician and I personally mounted road forced and balanced these tires. Road force was under 5 lbs for all 4 tires. Very good tire for the price. Will buy again. ... show more

These have worked great for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. The local shop installed them. The tires were about half of the price of any we could get in town. They run smooth and are great all weather tires. Couldn't be happier.

Seems like ok tires, compound is soft, so not sure how many miles they will go? Professional auto mechanic here, these are sold as "prime" tires, but folks need to know there are DOT mandated tire manufacturer dates on every tire sold. Look for it, and it will indicate tire manufacture date. Got set of four, and they were just short of 2 yrs old. Just so you know, this vendor ships them to you directly not amazon, even though they are prime. If you bring up a date concern, you will be told date makes no difference, if really does though. ... show more

Avid Ascends are a great all around tire - durable, quiet, safe, affordable, with very high quality consistency. Some models of Yokohama do not last very long - typically their sticky, sports car oriented ones. But if you choose the Avid Ascends for "normal" driving, you won't be disappointed. They are some of the longest lasting tires available - rivaling the best from Michelin, Continental, and Goodyear.
