(Update) two weeks ago the charger broke and now the robot cannot be charged anymore. I took away one star for that reason. Only one because I still think this is a nice STEM toy. Very good purchase. I had actually bought one of those 13-in-1 solar operated robots that simply are impossible to assemble due to poor quality of the toy. After returning the cheap one I researched a bit more to see what I could find that would fit on the budget AND work. This was a gift for a friend's son who loves robots and STEM stuff. He had a blast putting it together, but when that was over... that was about it. The remote was a cool feature, but for an 11 year old, he was over it pretty quick.

This was a good idea to do with my 8 year old nephew. However, we had a difficult time with the chain on the robot and couldn’t get it to work right. It was as the chains were too tight. So there wasn’t any extra pieces. It was kind of disappointing. But he enjoyed putting it together.

The media could not be loaded. My 7 year old daughter loved this robot. It comes with a remote control and is easy to build and control. Just need to add batteries for the remote control. I would definitely recommend this toy.
