  • Great value and great results
Color: Yellow 700W
The media could not be loaded. I needed a nice HVLP sprayer for some home improvement and picked up this sprayer. TL;DR: Overall value - This sprayer is very easy to use, durable, very easy to clean and produces great results! For the price, it is a great value for the money. Below is a more comprehensive review if you are interested. Delivery - ordered on a Friday, expected delivery the following Thursday (~6 days). Pleasantly surprised that it arrived Monday (~3 days) with free shipping. Packaging - parts are pretty durable, so the basic packaging was adequate and all parts and documentation were contained in the box as expected. Not worthy of an "unboxing" video, but totally adequate. Instructions - basic, but easy to understand the assembly, use, and cleaning of the paint sprayer. Build quality - There are not a lot of moving parts. The compressor housing has a nice durable plastic casing to protect it and the handle has a comfortable grip. The nozzle assembly is made mostly of thick plastic components that appear to be quite durable and the nozzle itself is high quality brass. Accessories - the kit includes a number of different sized high quality brass nozzles to choose from depending on the viscosity of the medium you are painting with. The kit also includes a cleaning brush and a nozzle cleaning pin. Included is a small funnel to help identify the viscosity of the paint. Also includes a lid for the paint reservoir in the event there is leftover paint. Setup - Setup is simple. The main three elements are paint viscosity, nozzle size and flow. Your paint will come with instructions to tell you the ratios and material to use for thinning it and it may even recommend a nozzle size for sprayers (the primer I tested with had to be thinned with water and it specified a recommended nozzle size). After getting the paint to the right viscosity and choosing a nozzle, dialing in the paint flow is a simple matter of turning the dial behind the trigger which controls the amount of opening/flow from the paint reservoir. It took me a couple of tries to get things fully dialed into my liking, but after that it was simply getting paint onto the thing I was painting. Test this on a sample or start out far and get closer to identify how far from the object/thing you need to be for a nice thin coat. You can also orient the output into a vertical or horizontal oval pattern, or a more uniform circle. The instructions also indicate you can orient the paint intake tube forward, backward, or any particular direction based on how you will be holding the sprayer to get the most out of the paint reservoir (you want the tube forward if you will be mostly spraying downward, facing backward if you are mostly spraying upward, etc.). Operation - Once you get the paint flow dialed in, operation is as simple as pointing to what you want to paint and pulling the trigger. Keeping the sprayer at a right angle to whatever is getting painted helps maintain an even coat. Keeping the sprayer in motion also helps to ensure the paint doesn't build up in one spot. NOTE: make sure you are wearing proper protective gear (mask/ventilator, ear protection, safety glasses) and make sure you are in a ventilated area when painting. Results - Finish results are excellent as long as you have the viscosity, flow and nozzle dialed in. Putting on multiple thin coats is preferred and it produces a surprisingly smooth finish. If you are painting for a long period, be sure to check for build-up on the nozzle and clear it periodically to keep the flow coming out smoothly. I didn't do this at first and it started to produce a bit of light spatter when starting a paint flow. Clearing the buildup on the nozzle with a paper towel resolved that immediately. ... show more

  • It was okay…
Color: Red 500W
Hard to clean and the metal tip broke so we had to return it, but the few times we used it it was fine. Durability is questionable.

  • Great little unit for hobby use
Color: Yellow 700W
Bought to replace a Wagner unit that crapped out so can't complain about price / quality one bit. Used on a framed lattice project, endless corners and surfaces. Sprayer did a nice job. It takes a bit of dinking around to get the viscosity / nozzle selection right, but after that it's EZ to use. Yes cleanup sucks, don't ALL painting project's cleanup suck??? Only real complaint is the manual, like all chinese manuals. Small print, vague instructions, no mention or picture of the infamous 'little black washer', and no support number to call. I tried email, will update if a response. ... show more

  • Works great
Color: Yellow 700W
Thinning the paint according to directions is critical to success. It can be a little time consuming getting it fight. With that said, it works great! In fact, it worked so good, my neighbor bought one after watching me.

  • Great sprayer for a great price
Color: Yellow 700W
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much power this sprayer has. I've been working on redoing my kitchen cabinets with a specific paint brand formulated for cabinets and such. The company has a brush and roll technique but it was taking me longer than I had hoped. So after seeing a fb post from this paint brands fb group, a commenter had recommended this sprayer. I got this during a deal for 34 dollars and honestly it's the best 34 bucks I ever spent. I was able to spray all top and bottom cabinets in a total of 4 hours. It had taken me 8 hours to do the brush and roll technique on just my top cabinets. So its absolutely a huge time saver as well. The sprayer coats beautifully. In the end I used less paint because I didn't need as many coats. You do need to thin the paint in order for it to work properly. Luckily the commenter had also mentioned how much she diluted this specific paint so I had zero issues from the get go. It's very user friendly and will save you a ton of time. Highly recommend this sprayer! ... show more

  • Pretty impressed!
Color: Red 500W
Overall it is a great gun. Only drawback is that it gets warm and you need to squeeze the trigger pretty hard to get full power

  • Edited Review: Sprayer has its flaws but might work for hobby projects. Customer service is good.
Color: Red 500W
Update: Customer service reached out to me and send a new sprayer to replace the broken one. I'll give it another go and see if this one is better. I still think it will have its limitations - after all it is a $50 sprayer and you kinda get what you pay for. I'm just using it to spray baseboards, miscellaneous trim pieces, and the occasional door. ORIGINAL: I'm a contractor and do a decent amount of painting for my job. Believe me, every time I have to use this sprayer I want to punch a hole in the wall. About 20% of the time the stars will align and it will provide a decent finish in good time. But the other 80% of the time it is an absolute nightmare. Would be faster and look better to brush and micro roll, and that is a LOW BAR. The problem is that the sprayer is super unreliable (jams up frequently) and does a HORRIBLE job atomizing the paint - so you end up with a funky orange peel/spatter texture instead of a smooth finish like the higher end HVLP sprayers. I've tried multiple brands of paint, viscosities, and spray tip sizes. None of them are good. The best results seem to be achieved with the smallest spray tip and a highly watered down paint (adding a little flotrol seems to help too). But still, it's not great. The icing on the cake is that the straw snapped off for no apparent reason after about 5 uses, which rendered the sprayer completely useless. I superglued it back together and got maybe another 5 uses before it snapped off again. As much as I hate throwing tools in the garbage, I don't think it's worth it to try to salvage this one. ... show more
