The predominance of cinnamon and cloves should have been the clue. If cinnamon is used all year in the house you grew up in or in your house, this candle will provide a very comforting and pleasing aroma. If cinnamon is a spice which is primarily used in winter holiday recipes in your home, then this candle may seem out of place if burned during the spring and summer months. We have a Yankee candle factory in Williamsburg, Va., where I lived for many years. Over the decades I have purchased dozens and dozens of Yankee candles both for my own personal use and to give us gifts I've never purchased a product from them that I did not like or that I wouldn't be proud to give as a gift. The candles last an incredibly long time, you can reuse the jars and lids or repurpose them when done, and the scents are always top quality, never cheap smelling. Actually this is the only candle that doesn't cause me to have an allergic reaction. Other candle manufacturers might use cheaper fragrance oils and that is what causes my allergies but Yankee candles do not. You can never go wrong with Yankee candle! ... show more

I thought maybe it would be too sweet but after burning for a bit the oak came out it was completely wonderful!
