I hang dry most of my clothes in my laundry room -- and this over the door clothes hanger has been a game-changer. It folds up unobtrusively when not in use and then swings down easily when it's time to hang damp clothes on it (using hangers). This clothes hangar was mounted to the back of a bathroom closet, hollow core door, using 60#, metal type screw in inserts. I removed the portion of the bracket that sits over the top of the door as it wouldn't clear between the top of the jamb casing and the top edge of the door. It was very easy to locate using a small torpedo level for plumb. I like the magnetic catch incorporated to keep the hanging arm tucked away when not in use. Yamazaki products are excellent. I bought this because I don’t want to drill holes in the door. The over the door hook did not fit in my apartment’s closet door. To be able to use it, I have to drill holes. Aesthetically, it is very simplistic. If not in use, it folds. Not giving 5 stars because of the hook size but overall it worked for me. ... show more

We need to replace an over the dorr hook used to hold clothes on hangers awaiting ironing--this particular item is all steel, enamel-coated, and fit the bill perfectly. Material appears to be sturdy. It's wide enough that it's fits on my door. Didn't bother with the screws since it seem pretty secure without them. Probably going to be somewhat annoying to clean though due to hollow compartments on the hook.
