This lid holder has been on my wish list for a while since I learned about this from America’s Test Kitchen. Then a few days ago, Alexa (Echo) notified me about the lower price. But I had to think about it because I already have two spoon-rests on my stove. Do I really need a separate lid holder? Or is this gonna be another, “I thought it’d be useful but not really” item? But cold weather’s here and that means I’ll be using more stove tops = losing my lid resting spot. So I ultimately decided to get it. And BOY, I’m so glad that I got this because I LOVE THIS! This fit right in the middle of my four-burner stove. I was a bit worried when I first saw this because it’s not that big or too heavy, but yes, this holds my 6 qt cast iron lid! And when I used this to hold a big slow cooker lid, the drip tray worked wonders, and I didn’t have to wipe the counter at all. And the drip tray is removable and very easy to clean as well. Have you ever been cooking and either needed to stir the pot or add more ingredients? We all have. You then have the super hot lid, where do you set it down? Put lid down on the counter without burning your hand handle-side down or place it wet side down making a mess on the counter or you've been prepping on the counter and no room to put lid as you dont have room- not great choices. I saw another similar product made by a pots and pan manufacturer. Cost was more than double. We have heavy cast iron pans and also pans with lighter glass lids and stainless steel lids large, small, heavy and lightweight. We decided on this after reading reviews. This is a great product because.... 1) it can be used as a spoon rest as well as a pot and pan lid holder 2) it holds many size lids, no matter the weight 3) can hold your spoon and the lid at the same time 4) base doesn't scratch counters - small pads on bottom 5) has small square inner plastic liner that pops out so you can wash easily. I like to use cast iron pots and pans, but their lids are hot and heavy, so I need something can hold the weight and don’t take much of counter space. This lid hiker totally meet my requirement, it is made of metal, sturdy and good quality, and love the simple and modern design. The reason I give 4 star is the bottom part is hard to take out, it was supposedly designed to easy take out and clean, but somehow it is not. ... show more

This doesn’t look like much, but it is sleek and sturdy. It securely holds the heavy lid of my 7 quart Lodge Dutch oven and the grey basin catches all the drip water.
