Not as good as Tabasco's spicy soy sauce ( now unavailable @ Amazon) which is a delicious condiment that packs a lot of spicy zest. I even add a dash to some salad dressings for character which does not overwhelm the veggies.

This is very tasty and goes great with traditional asian food, very salty but i like it. I'd get it again

We've had plenty of Asian inspired sauces over the years. And some of course are better than others, regardless of cost. This Shoyu is amazingly flavored, holds up without being lost in the food nor does it overwhelm the food. We've used this as a dipping sauce, as a drizzle over a prepared dish and as part of marinades. Each way we used it didn't disappoint at all. The price is a tad high, but well worth it because not a lot needs to be used. Definitely something to have in the pantry.

I had never heard of an artisanal soy sauce before, but once I did, I HAD to try it out. I requested it from Vine and here we are. This review is for: Yamasa, Shoyu Artisanal Soy Sauce, Non-GMO, 10fl oz. I usually have soy sauce in the fridge, in case we go for sushi or in case I want to marinade something for the grille. To be honest, all I've ever tried before is Kikkoman. I put the two bottles side to side for you to compare. This artisanal sauce comes in a smaller bottle, but don't let that fool you. The taste of this soy sauce FAR OUTWEIGHS the regular Kikkoman. I don't know how to explain it, and I can't tell you what was done to make this soy sauce taste so much more flavorful, but it DOES. The taste makes me think that there are several other ingredients than in regular soy sauce, but if you asked me what those ingredients are, I couldn't tell you. The taste feels to me like something has been aged longer maybe-the taste is more flavorful and complicated-maybe layered is the word I'm looking for? I'm going to stop trying to describe it and just say that this is the most delicious soy sauce I've ever tried and I'm looking forward to spring so we can start experimenting with this in marinades. I can't speak to the price as this sauce is currently unavailable, but it would have to be pretty darn high for me not to buy this sauce again. Highly recommended!

This soy sauce is excellent! Yes, it's very salty, but many soy sauces are. This has a nice deep flavor to it that's just wonderful. I found myself searching for foods to put it on just so that I could enjoy it more. I did try it straight on a spoon more than once, but the salt does get to me that way. When used with food, though, it's awesome.
