This is a very good repair manual covering a range of Yamaha outboards. I have used other manuals (for a Mercury) that offer very generic instructions, but this Yamaha manual breaks down the steps by your type of engine to give more specific instructions. It also provides little tips that are unusual for repair manuals, kind of like a teacher. So far I've used the manual to drop the lower unit on my 90hp and rebuild the water pump, change out the pressure relief valve and thermostat, plus I used the electrical diagrams to sort out some electrical issues. The manual also proivde me useful information about the rpm reduction in the case of overheat/low oil scenario. ... show more

The correct manual for my 2002 HPDI. Seloc covers EVERYTHING on this motor. I previously purchased the "correct" Clymer manual which I will now use for spare toilet paper at the fishing camp.....
