It’s easy to put together and the upward direction is easy but it needs quite a bit of pressure while using the lever going down. I think that’s probably necessary though since it doesn’t have a locking mechanism. Very simple to put together.

It is inexpensive. It is easy to assemble. It is the right size for us. The thing that is really disappointing is just how much the swivel top is unhelpful. It is honest, and it is marketed as a benefit. To use it in the kitchen as a breakfast table, however, any drink risks spillage when I simply move or bump the table. The swivel top spins very freely. We will probably epoxy it so it doesn't swivel or raise or lower. Then it will probably be pretty much what we need for the cost. ... show more
