I’m writing this in June 2023, I have had this table a few months now and it’s wonderful. Well built, durable and sturdy. Fairly easy for a single, slightly old lady to put together by herself (screw those hinges though for real they took a minute). The lift top works well and doesn’t “slam” down so that’s good. Overall I’m really happy with this purchase.

Fairly simple to assemble. The tools that come with it to assemble suck so be sure to have rachets, screwdrivers and a wrench or 2. It's actually quite sturdy. We were pleasantly surprised. Would buy again.

It’s crazy you can charge $86 for some wood and metal. If it were put together it’d be worth that. I spent 5.5 hours putting this together which is probably why I’m mad. I will say it’s pretty clear on what to do, although I messed up twice because the instructions kept flipping the table around. It takes a bit of endurance (I won’t say strength because I’m really not that strong) for 2 different steps. It does say it takes 2 people but if you really want to you could build it by yourself (may be painful) And Im really really sore from this. I will hand it to them that the screw holes were aligned, which has been off with other Amazon purchases I had. It’s also a good size. The other ones on Amazon I saw were less tall. It’s also as long as a monopoly board (so it’s good for playing games with friends). I’d say if you can, buy a complete built one at a local store.

You are a smart cookie. You can figure it out. Yes, the hardest part is the top, but I promise you can do it. I did the whole thing without my husband. Pay close attention to how the metal pieces are drawn in the instructions. The little gas lifts should be facing inside the coffee table. Then to attach the top the easiest way is to stand it upright on its side, and sit on the floor so you're pressing down on the screws. I only used a screw driver and had to bare down a little harder to get the screw started, but did it fine without a drill. When you're ready to do the other side, carefully flip it over. Again so you can bare down. Not up. I was scared of the reviews of how much trouble some people had, but I'm glad I decided to go with this coffee table. It is very pretty, and I love the storage! The bins are large enough for a blanket, and the inside holds our biggest board games perfectly! My only other advice would be to make sure you lift and lower the lid evenly with two hands when using it. Otherwise its a little wobbly.
