5’8, 195 lbs, waist 35 inches, 36DD. Purchased split black in XL. Y’ALL- I’ve been wanting to hop on board the satin slip dress train for a while, but I’ve been nervous to pull the trigger because it’s hard to tell on the internet if the satin is decent quality, and because I’m curvy and self conscious about my tummy. Let me tell you, one pair of spanx and this dress later I felt like a freakin bombshell, which is amazing because I currently have the lowest body confidence I’ve had in years. Husband was drooling. Fabric- this satin is pretty thick and a little stretchy, which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely not see through, and I was able to comfortably sit through a three hour opera. Has a very nice shine, but definitely does not look cheap. The stitching is well done and the straps are STURDY. The zipper should probably be a little more heavy duty, and there is no hook and eye, so I will be adding one in future to help get the zipper up. Once it was zip everything was great, but the satin is slippery so I had to have my husband do the actual zipping while I helped hold the sides together. But for $30? Don’t even care. Fit- this dress went about 3” below my knees while standing, and sat just above my knees when sitting. The waist is very fitted, but the hips allow a lot of space. It was wild, it looked tailored right of the packaging. The bust area fit really well, and the fabric is sturdy enough that I was able to comfortably wear this dress without a bra. The ladies were supported, not squished, and I wasn’t worried about the nips. The slit is towards the back of the dress, which I didn’t realize looking at the pictures, but I actually really like it! It’s just behind my left leg, and when sitting, you might not notice there’s a slit at all. Note- not sure how this dress would fit on a slimmer body type, because I don’t have one- the neckline would probably slouch in a really pretty way on a smaller chest like in the pics, but the hips might bag, it’s hard for me to tell. Just purchased in the rust color as well, this is going to be my go to wedding guest outfit this summer! It rides the perfect line between casual and formal. I cannot believe I got this stunner for such a great price. Buy it! Will absolutely update with photos, unfortunately forgot to get a pic!

I purchased the green dress. I had hoped it would be a green/blue color as other mentioned but it was emerald green as it is pictured. That was not the deal breaker. I followed the size chart. I never know if i should get the xs or small and usually fret about that with every order. I sometimes order both sizes and return one. I'm 58 so I had my concerns with fit and spaghetti straps going into this. Anyway I felt the xsmall was too snug. If I was younger, I would have loved the dress. It definitely stretched and fit but I wouldn't wear it. I thought about switching it to a larger size for more room and to perhaps get it to hang a little but I wasn't in love with the color once I had it on me. The only other color I liked was black and I have so many black dresses already. So I didn't size up. And I'm not sure if I would have went up to a small or medium to get it to be looser. I have a small chest and I would have been concerned about the top getting to large. PROS: great price, stretchy material, ease to get in with the zipper (huge plus), thick material so it is NOT see through, slit is totally appropriate in length, length was great for a 5'4" person. Con: material is heavy-ish which is good and bad. Good since not see through but it may not breath well.

This is a good dress for the money--so comfy! As someone who sews and notices construction details, I'm not crazy about the self binding and the top stitching round the back and on the straps. Top stitching is for casual clothing. The hem looks pretty good but it's not the handkerchief super narrow hem you'd get on a real silk dress, along with the fishtail hem look. That being said, looking at the dress as a whole, it's a very cute and would serve a variety of uses. I'll be wearing it for dinner on a cruise. The dress fits beautifully and skims over the body and the beautiful leopard print will hide body imperfections. The fabric doesn't look cheap and closely resembles silk, although of a lighter weight. I'm 5'4" and 112 lbs and wear a size 2-4. The XS is perfect. I can see what some reviewers said about the cowl neckline being bothersome, so I'm going to wear a long chain necklace to keep it sort of in place, I think. Not a deal breaker. I should mention that this dress has more of a pencil shape so I wouldn't recommend it for dancing because it's pretty narrow at the bottom and there's no slit. Forget taking a full stride! Careful ironing will make the most of this dress.

I would compare the fabric to tissue paper. Overall the sizing was fine and true to its size but I can’t get over how thin the quality was.

I ordered this in every size S-XL. In the photos I was carrying a some bloat when I tried on, but for reference I’m pear shaped at 5’3 and my weight fluctuates btwn 130-139lbs. Jeans I wear size 6, s-m in tops, 34b bust, 4/6 in dresses. Usually a medium fits me but this dress definitely runs small in the hips, wider in the bust. I loved the color and feel of the fabric and that it zips in the back. The straps are also adjustable. However, the size guide and other reviewers suggested a medium would fit best. I ordered the teal emerald green midi (w/o split) in a small and medium. The bust fit okay, but the hips and waist were way too small! Literally, there was no wrinkling, just tight! The medium didn’t feel much looser than the size small. I reordered it in an XL to see if that fits better and i was swimming in it. The large fits more comfortably, but the bust is very loose since I’m small framed. Not sure if I can tailor the fabric so tall people can’t see down the top or if I should return the large. Otherwise, if you have an hour glass shape or are too heavy, this dress is very pretty. The fabric does have some stretch too.
