It took a few adjustments to get them adjusted correctly so I can slip the shoe on easily and walk without them being too loose or tight. After wearing nothing but slides, slippers, and an old crusty pair of slip-on Vans for all of 2020, tying shoes became a tedious task that could nearly stop me from leaving the house. Since I like leaving the house and also don't want to look like a slipper-wearing scrub every time I do, I had to come up with a solution. The internet obliged as usual, and I discovered I could turn most of my shoes into slip-ons with stretchy Xpand laces. Hallelujah! It's also pretty cool that they eliminate the floppy bow and shoes coming untied. It's worth noting that these hardly fit my size 11 low-top shoes, so I don't see how they would work on boots . Guess you gotta lace up sometime, huh? These are one of those inventions that will restore your faith in technology and humanity. Get em. Love em. Leave the house.

These seem like good laces, a little confusing to put on at first but an online video helped a lot. The package instructions were not good. They are not as durable as regular laces but seem OK, my first long hike today with them was good. My shoes were not too loose or tight. I like not having to buy a particular size and being able to cut the them to custom fit and then add the plastic tabs.

I put these on my walking shoes I use at the gym. Not much with instructions but after trying different things I ended up installing the laces over and then in the eyelet. When you get to last one you feed the string over and in the eyelet and right into the center hole. The end hole is facing toe area and the hook thing facing the heel. Push string thru top hole then bring back over the clip and hook into the hook thing. Before cutting excess try on shoe and make any adjustments to the clips. They should lay flat against the eyelet. I ran the string over thru that last eyelet no one ever uses then cut the string. I superglued the end piece to inside of shoe. See pictures. The tongue of the shoe covers all of it so you donโt feel it when wearing. Good luck.

Update: I changed my review from 2 stars to 4. love this lace when finally was able to finish and use. If we didn't receive that poor quality, I would rate it 5 stars. CHECK YOUR LACES AND TUG ON PLASTIC TUBING BEFORE APPLYING!!!! After all the hoopla of trying to string this lace just right into the shoe, the tubing at the end of the lace came off! I tried wetting the end of the lace, and even tried using a pin to lace it through. At first when the end tube came off, I wasn't too worried because we cut the end off at the end, anyway. Lacing worked for a while, however, toward the top of the Nike shoe, the holes are at an angle due to the shoe style. I COULD NOT WHATSOEVER string that lace through. ๐ก I wanted to contact the store to inform them of the situation, but it was difficult finding their contact info. I submitted an exchange instead of a return since I have already completed lacing and cutting on one shoe. It is frustrating!! The lacing process takes some time on a shoe like this, so to have to take even more time because of a poorly made product is very irritating. ๐I was going to give instructions on how to lace before this issue occurred: โขMy suggestion is to lace OVER instead of under(see photo). โขI also took a photo of the plastic "stopper" and which way it worked best for us. My son wears a size 4.5 shoe, so I needed to use the smaller stoppers provided. โข Maybe because of the shoe style, we needed to leave the lacing a bit looser to slip on his foot(see first full shoe photo of it completed and being too tight. Last shoe photo is the tightness we needed). I watched a helpful video review that showed how to lace these. He suggested lacing tighter since the laces stretch. This did not work for us, and I had to loosen EVERYTHING up. When you see the Nike shoe style, you will understand why this is all becoming a big pain- especially when you add in a defective product! I hope this works well- once we are actually able to FINISH ๐
