I have had it for almos 6 months now and haven't run into a app or game this can not handle. Performance, speed, signal, durability, battery life, all have been amazing so far. The one thing I'm not super happy with is the quality of the photos... But that is because I am comparing it against $600 devices... So I can really complain given this cost a fraction of that! The Xiaomi Redmi 12 4g is definitely among the bet buys I have ever made in my entire life. As a senior professional engine I can say with great confidence that this cell phone is great in both design and manufacturing. Just watch on YouTube the 9.3 B$ Xiaomi fully automated plant in China and you will see the highest cell phone manufacturing facility on the plant. The performance of this phone is suburb in every function. Speed, camera shots, communicating with the web just to name some. People who judge the Redmi 12 camera pictures as lagging sharpness are not fair in their judgment. Photos taken by any cell phones are 5% optical and 95% digital simulation and these are not the same as photos shot be a camera with 35 mm lenses, I am not sure what a 1000$ or more flag phone would do more that the Redmi 12. This phone is excellent and its price is absolutely great ... show more

I use Redpocket sim card, it works very well on this Redmi phone. I also have an international sim card it doesn't work on Redimi note 10, but it works on Redmi 12. It's exactly what I need.

The phone was released Q2 2023 Helio G88- released 2021 eMMC 5.1- released 2015 The phone is smack in the middle of Mid to Low-end... tldr it's not a Galaxy/Pixel but its better than Motorola's software support, updated to Hyper OS out of the box & receives security updates monthly... The speaker & ringer aren't very loud either, the Xiaomi Redmi Note series is a better deal with a AMOLED screens and better cameras on the PRO models, this would be considered a base model and they have multiple variants of basically the same phone every year, just get a nice case ... show more

I RETURNED THE PHONE AFTER 2-3 DAYS !!!!!! I bought the Redmi 12 paperweight (I mean cell phone) to use in Mexico on the TelCel network. On the phone 1 of the area locations was Mexico. Yet somehow multiple times a day a window popped up over everything that said the device isn't distributed in the region. TelCel attempted to change the location to India per some internal technical info but that also didn't work. There were also no instructions available either on the phone or in a PDF online. That is hard because some items are harder to figure out if you are not a tech person. I emailed the Xiaomi Customer Service. They did not answer so I emailed them again 2 days later. And finally 2 days after that. All this was BEFORE I turned the phone on because I did not want to start it up if I was unable to use it. The phone has an extreme number of ads in most of the applications which was very annoying. I went online and found a way to prevent some of these but was not close to eliminating all or most of them. For example, the ring tone sounds window opens. A small area has whats on the phone with larger areas to buy them and another to go online to buy them. Really, if Xiaomi needs money so bad to jam ads down the peoples throat every interaction on the phone, JUST SELL THE FRICKEN THING FOR MORE MONEY. I sent it back and will never buy a product from any of their companies again ... show more
